Position: US Field Medical, Medical Science Liaison - Cardiovascular
Location: AZ, NM, Las Vegas, NV & El Paso, TX
The MSL role embodies our medical mission to be recognized as the trusted partner for internal stakeholders and the healthcare community, driving scientific exchange to enhance medical education, data generation, insight generation and patients’ access to medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for identifying disease and product related medical needs in a defined geography. The primary role of the MSL is to develop and maintain relationships with Community Thought Leaders (TL), and High Disease Burden Healthcare Providers (HCP) within their health care systems. The primary role of the MSL is to develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) within their healthcare system. The purpose of their interactions is to engage in meaningful scientific exchange that will ensure patients have access to BMS medicines, to ensure their safe and appropriate use through peer-to-peer discussions aligned with medical strategies and needs expressed by external stakeholders, and to facilitate research. The MSL also serves as the medical resource for external stakeholders in academic and community centers.
External Environment and Customer Focus
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders, within a given geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR related questions. The MSL will use various channels for interactions (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.)
- Demonstrate proficiency in using available scientific resources and presentations. Effectively present information to TL/HCPs and be able to respond to questions, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines, and directives
- Actively assess the medical landscape by meeting with TL/HCPs/Access Stakeholders to understand their needs and expertise. Continuously update own knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, health economics outcomes research and scientific activities Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models and actively prepare to address informational needs of customers
- Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research projects, and investigator sponsored research (ISR) of interest and in alignment with BMS strategic objectives
- Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings. Collect and provide meaningful medical insights and/or impacts by communicating these back to the medical and commercial organizations to support strategy development and business decisions
Contribute to the Medical Plan
- Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL Interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and TLs needs
- Adopt institution/account planning approach and contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans
- Appropriately collaborate with medical partners on account plan info and medical activities (aligned to BMS medical objectives) to strategically plan how best to advance BMS’s medical objectives with a holistic understanding of each institution within a designated territory.
Provide Medical Support
- Establish a customer-centric, compliant collaboration with cross-matrix field teams within assigned geography
- As necessary and appropriate, support the initial and ongoing medical/scientific area and product specific training and provide key scientific updates to internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR, Value Access & Payment)
- Provide scientific support at promotional meetings by presenting scientific and clinical data, by evaluating speakers and by giving support to BMS-contracted speakers (if applicable)
- Participate in assigned Congress activities
Support Clinical Trial Activities
- Support Interventional and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) studies (e.g. identification and
assessment of potential study sites) to facilitate patient recruitment and/or discussions around the safe and effective use of BMS investigational products, as agreed with home office medical and Global Development Operations (GDO) and as defined by the study scope document - Provide recommendations and insights to clinical development team on study and site feasibilities within the therapeutic area based on knowledge of the field and through direct contacts with potential investigators, as agreed with home office medical and GDO
- Support HCPs in the ISR submission and execution process and study follow-up as agreed upon with home office medical and GDO
- Ensure that BMS Pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators of local studies, and alert appropriate BMS personnel to any identified Adverse Events
- Contribute to development and delivery of scientifically meaningful medical programs/projects in line with the local Medical and Field Medical plan
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Experience
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific Disease Area or with a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience
Knowledge Desired
- Disease area knowledge and an understanding of scientific publications
- Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area, competitive landscape, and patient treatment trends
- Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
- Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment
- Knowledge of HEOR core concepts
- Excellent English language skills, spoken and written
Experience Desired
- A minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment
- Prior MSL experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and act as a team player
- Translating scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form to help physicians best serve their patients
- Good communication and presentation skills to present scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals
- Developing peer-to-peer relationships with TLs, scientists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to learn about new subject areas and environments quickly and comprehensively

Essential Qualification
- Ability to drive a company-provided car is an essential qualification of this position. Candidates must be able to drive a BMS-provided vehicle between locations (often great distances apart) and arrive at each location ready and able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of pertinent health care industry trends enthusiastically and efficiently. Candidates must possess a high level of ethics, integrity, and a responsible and safe driving history
Travel Requirement
- Travel required. Position is field based, MSL will be required to live in the region which they manage.
- The MSL will spend most of their time in the field with their external customers. Further requirements based on territory assignment and team needs
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $150,000 - $200,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Position Summary
The Hematology Translational Medicine group seeks a talented and highly motivated graduate student interested in a summer internship that offers hands-on translational research experience in a team-oriented, fast paced environment. The student, working closely with a mentor, will be assigned an exciting data science project to understand how tumor genomics drives hematological malignancies. During the 10-week internship, the student will develop their bioinformatic experience, critical thinking, application of genomics research to clinical drug development, data/literature analysis, and presentation/verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will have enthusiasm for working with genomic data and for learning how to analyze critical clinical questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to experimental design and execution of a translational project, which is aligned with Hematology Translational Medicine
- Participate in BMS student internship requirements
- Literature/data review to understand project context, impact and timely communication of data
- Present internship project to the Translational Medicine group at the conclusion of the internship
Qualifications & Experience
Current graduate student majoring in field related to biomedical data sciences (Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science)
- Availability for full-time employment (40hrs/week) throughout the internship period (early June through mid-August).
- Interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the willingness and ability to foster working relationships with a range of stakeholders and work independently. Flexibilities to changing priorities.
- Prior experience in analyzing genomic data and data analysis is preferred. On-site attendance at least 50% of time

Position Summary
Inventory Control for management, oversight and reporting for all External Manufacturing (ExM) owned inventory at Internal (BMS) and External (CMO) locations and Third-Party Warehouses (TPW)
This is a 12 month fixed term contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee all inventories owned by ExM, ensuring accurate risk and ageing review, updated inventory system and control.
- Responsible to present for Material Review Board (MRB) to MRB Forum for decision making and Product Accountability and Disposal Management (PADM) processes, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Responsible for requesting for financial provisions are in place and accurately maintained as outcome from MRB, including inventory at risk and projections.
- Responsible for the management of excess and obsolete inventory
- Facilitate a cost recovery program for excess inventory.
- Proactively captures inventory issues and following up solution implementations after consultation with the relevant business leaders.
- Ensure SAP inventory movements and adjustments are up to date.
- Report on projected inventory levels vs. actual and budgeted inventory levels across all inventory types and support Global Inventory Team for projections and budget.
- Ensure annual cycle count scoping document in place and participate in inventory audits and cycle count as required. Perform investigations and gap analysis as necessary.
- Reviews and challenges business processes. Develops, implements, and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as necessary.
- Conduct thorough and careful analysis of stocks holding data, gather critical information to support decision making and creating awareness to all necessary stakeholders so mitigation action can be taken.
- Has oversight responsibility to ensure that ExM inventory data is maintained through robust processes.
- Establishes strong working relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate with cross-functional team.
- Project Inventory Ending balance to support planning process.Assist in other ad hoc functions as required and assigned by the Manager.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive efficiency in inventory control processes.
- Support BMS business continuity program on inventory movement and return for project allocation.
- Support relevant IT projects on systems integration and updates.
- Support queries in relation to tolling reconciliation, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or Finance, APICS
• Experience in working Supply Chain in large multinational and pharmaceutical industry is preferred
• SAP knowledge is a must
• Knowledge of cost and/or inventory accounting principles is preferred
Key Competencies required.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical product lifecycle and obsolescence in a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation.
• Strong background in inventory management in complex, multi-site organizations
• Excellent analytical and PC applications knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Good understanding of business specific organizations, functions, and business support system (Manufacturing, Packaging, Artwork, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality Control / Quality Assurance and Supply Chain)
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and organizations
• Capable to interact with key decision makers in Manufacturing, Technology, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
• Preferably have involved or worked on process reengineering / redesigning
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently is a required

Position Summary
The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for the successful implementation of the Devens site Training Program. The Specialist assists in determining training solutions that support strict performance and quality standards. This position is responsible for training, coaching, assessing performance readiness and providing performance support. The Specialist may train in manufacturing spaces which may require the use of safety and personal protection, clothing, and footwear.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of Devens Biologics training and compliance strategy.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with functional area representatives, subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to develop and implement key learning strategies and initiatives.
- Uses ADDIE to analyze performance gaps, design effective solutions, develop professional training material (including PPT decks, instructor guides, digital tools, AI generated content, etc.), implement solutions using project management, change management and effective communication, and evaluating solutions (level 1 – 3 surveys) for effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement ILT and OJT training programs that meet safety, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Provide in person and virtual facilitation of training, meetings, knowledge circles, etc.
- Supports team growth through knowledge sharing.
- Provide Success Factors LMS administration and Service Now ticket support.
- Design curricula to ensure appropriate timing and delivery for audiences across Devens Biologics.
- Facilitate New Employee Orientation and other onboarding activities for new hires.

Position Summary:
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) – by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. Position Summary:
Subject matter expert leading implementation of state-of-art automation solutions for QC bioanalytical methods and technologies in autologous and allogenic cell therapy programs. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure automation designs meet compliance and business requirements. Qualifications & Experience:

10+ years of integrated automation experience. Experience working in a GMP QC laboratory preferred.
Demonstrated automation developer experience in automated liquid handlers, end-to-end assay automation workflows and integrated automation systems.
Experience designing, programming, operating, and troubleshooting end-to-end integrated automation systems, such as Biosero, HighRes® Biosolutions, Hamilton, or Thermo Scientific™ is required.
Experience leading development and implementation of automated laboratory workflows and high-throughput methods within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is required. This includes systems configuration, liquid handling, and method programming.
Experience leading evaluation and implementation of new and novel technologies.

Position Summary
The Senior Director, Operational Excellence will lead and collaborates with sites, functions and the greater OpEx network on developing and implementing strategies across GPS (Global Product Development & Supply) that drive a continuous Improvement culture. Job Description:
The Senior Manager, SS&P Capital Services & Solutions, Project Contracts Manager will be the primary and embedded Procurement team representative working in close collaboration with Global Engineering and respective Site Engineering to develop project sourcing strategies for Major capital projects. Major Projects are defined by their strategic nature and value to the business and typically are >$50MM. The role is also responsible for developing the methodology by which appropriate scope awards (for example, Construction Manager (and Subcontractors), Architect Engineer, Project Controls, CQV) maximizing value for BMS are facilitated. A key factor for success in this position will be the coordination and implementation of all relevant subcategory strategies as part of the Engineering & Construction and Capital Equipment supply plans. A strong relationship with Business Partners is required to ensure flawless project executions. The Senior Manager will be responsible for advancing the existing procurement process and enabling the team engaged in issuing key procurement packages to achieve lowest TCO and meet schedule requirements.
The position requires strong operational alignment with all stakeholders involved in US Major capital projects and other supporting functions (Finance, EHS, Quality, etc.). The Senior Manager must display excellent communication skills to all internal stakeholders including senior BMS leadership, the respective project teams and supporting suppliers.
The position has several key responsibilities, including:
- Contract Development and Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with Supplier (Construction Manager’s, AE, Project Controls, CQV and as required, subcontractors.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with internal and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Procurement Management:
- Develop procurement strategies and plans.
- Oversee the procurement process, including the development of should cost estimates, preparation and issuance of RFQs and RFPs.
- Evaluate bids and proposals to select the most suitable contractors and suppliers.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with contracts and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that any risks are managed effectively.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and costs to ensure they remain within approved limits.
- Review and assist the process payments to contractors and suppliers.
- Co-manage change orders and variations to the contract.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all internal BMS SOP’s, relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of contract terms and conditions.
- Provide regular updates on contract status and any issues that arise.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the performance of contractors and suppliers to ensure they meet contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and quality of work.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Address and resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the course of the project.
- Work with legal teams as necessary to resolve contractual disputes.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to project teams on contract management best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in contract management.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure that all health and safety requirements are included in contracts and are adhered to on-site.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
These responsibilities ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. in Engineering or other technical
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Engineering/Construction related experience
- Minimum of 3 years procurement or relevant experience
- Possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Must have a strong customer service orientation with excellent analytic, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated high degree of independence, requiring minimal supervision from senior management.
- Procurement process knowledge, category management, contract management, financial, market, and supplier analysis/management with technology utilization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process in support of operations across the Commercial categories.
- Act as a facilitator to fully manage and lead complex sourcing events from end-to-end (RFI/RFP): lead the preparation and solicitation of competitive bids, quotations and proposals; evaluate competitive offerings; assess supplier product and pricing information; conduct negotiations and communicate decision externally
- Act as a facilitator to drive and manage the contract through the contract life cycle from fully understanding the complexities of the deal to choosing and preparing the correct template to drafting, negotiation and managing redlines through finalization, distribution, signatures and storage
- Coordinate closely with business stakeholders, procurement partners and subject matter experts such as legal and others (Cybersecurity / IT, Data Privacy, Quality, etc. as applicable) to incorporate feedback to ensure timely, compliant, and effective facilitation of contracts
- Maintain awareness of pre-contracting steps, including underlying BMS policies and procedures related to the contracts and the contracted activities within scope
- Continuous Improvement for Source to Contract
- Participate in assessing team performance and identify trends for continuous improvement to improve operational effectiveness, standardization and process simplification
- Partner and share best practices and learnings with Agile Sourcing team to ensure business needs are proactively met in an aligned, consistent and collaborative manner across functional areas and in a manner that is complaint with BMS Standard Operating Procedures and protocols
- Work with procurement and legal to find ways to improve the contracting process, including recommending updates to contract templates, collecting fallback language and developing guidance for negotiations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within procurement to strengthen our contracting and sourcing outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
- B.S./B.A. Sciences
- Minimum of 3-5 years prior related experience, including relevant Commercial category procurement, sourcing and contracting experience, including but not limited to familiarity with Master Services Agreements
- Understanding of procurement process, agreement management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience
- Understanding of contract construction, terms and conditions, with strong preference for working knowledge of facilitating, drafting and negotiating buy-side and other in-scope contracts in the pharma/biotech industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and diplomacy to convey information and influence others with a strong customer focus
- Demonstrates a high level of adaptability in dealing with ambiguous and complex work environment and balances multiples demands on role in a responsive and professional manner and proven ability to engage teams and inspire them to sustain high levels of performance in a constantly changing environment
- Strong management skills, demonstrated by a record of accomplishment of success leading projects and other problem-solving initiatives with cross functional teams

Under the direction of the Area Sales Manager Hematology-Oncology, this individual is responsible to maximize the sales of our products in the region with a direct line to the Area Sales Manager (Regionaler Vertriebsleiter).
