Position Summary

Senior Managers of Statistical Programming provide comprehensive programming expertise to clinical project teams to lead statistical programming teams and support the development, regulatory approval and market acceptance of Bristol Myers Squibb products. This position is primarily responsible for the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for integrating, analyzing and reporting clinical data. Senior Managers develop collaborative relationships and work effectively within Global Biometrics & Data Sciences (GBDS), with external vendors and members of cross-functional development teams.

Senior Managers of Statistical Programming also support improvement initiatives. They proactively plan, implement, and identify issues/risks and provide remediation strategies to facilitate decision making. Senior Managers also lead and support the change management process (e.g. communication, training, stakeholder engagement).

In this role, Senior Managers of Statistical Programming are responsible for mentoring employees: help set objectives, and provide meaningful coaching and feedback. They also support the evaluation and recruitment of potential employees.

Project Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive programming leadership and support to clinical project teams and vendors, including deployment of programming strategies, standards, specifications and programmed analysis to comply with regulatory requirements,  SOPs and work practices
• Independently develops, validates, troubleshoots, and maintains complex programs and utilities in accordance with predefined specifications and standards
• Leads / Supports the electronic submission preparation and review
• Develops unambiguous and robust programming specifications (e.g. ADaM specifications)
• Reviews key planning documents (e.g., statistical analysis plan, data presentation plan, data review plan) to align with project objectives and ensures clarity and completeness of programming assumptions and requirements; Assesses document robustness and impact on programming activities
• Communicates proactively and effectively around issues and risks and contributes to its remediation

Improvement Responsibilities:

• Identifies, leads, and supports opportunities to enhance processes and technology
• Communicates proactively and effectively around issues and risks and contributes to its remediation

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science or life sciences required
• At least 6 years programming experience in industry including support of significant regulatory filings
• Proficient knowledge of drug development process, clinical trial methodology, regulatory guidance, industry standards, statistical concepts, and medical terminology used in the analysis and submission of clinical data
• Expertise in reporting of Clinical Pharmacology studies is required
•  Broad expertise in statistical programming and in developing computing strategies
• In-depth understanding of clinical data structure (e.g. CDISC standards) and relational databases
• Demonstrated proficiency in using SAS to produce analysis datasets and TFLs and in using other software tools and applications (e.g. MS office, XML, Pinnacle 21)
• Demonstrated ability in processing of upstream data (e.g. multiple data forms, workflows, eDC, SDTM); Demonstrated ability in providing deliverables to meet downstream requirements, (e.g. ADaM, TFLs, e-submission components)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with clinical team members

Position Summary

Solution architect for Global Distribution Services Operations is responsible to support design and implementation of digital and process solutions for seamless delivery of products on a global scale and overseeing the operation of centralized transportation and logistics hub including Intercompany physical and related financial flows, inventory ownership model and Supply Chain Order Management. This role will serve as the delivery lead for Distribution Services and help in driving optimized solutions in the Logistics space while ensuring SLA compliant system support.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Manages the advancement of digital and process solutions across all aspects of drug delivery including Intercompany logistics, secondary distribution and customs and trade.
• Manages development and design of SAP solutions for Global distribution services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Leads team that analyzes current processes and identifies opportunities for improvement, automation, and efficiency.
• Provides SAP technical expertise, training and guidance to Global Distribution Services (GDS) Team and other stakeholders, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
• Collaborates closely with other functions in developing and executing major strategic initiatives.
• Supports the application of data and technologies including but not limited to SAP, cloud computing, cogitative computing, advanced analytics, machine learning to enhance supply chain business processes for Global Distribution Services (GDS).
• Leads team to author Training Materials/Work Instructions/Job Aids
• Serves as the key point of contact for assigned process(es). Identify best practices and drive for standardization. Ensures role definition and clarity on key accountabilities for process steps through an enterprise §lens and ensure that process interdependencies are understood and optimized.
• Leads / supports definition of process effectiveness monitoring methods, including establishment of metrics and associated targets, data collection and analysis, measurement and reporting mechanisms.
• Engages with IT and Supply Chain colleagues in exploring cost-effective and sustainable technology solutions.
• Supports Community of Practice (CoP), including roles, operating mechanisms, communication strategies and levels of training and access. Provides leadership, coaching and training for CoP including both the technical processes and the behaviors necessary to optimize process execution.
• Owns Logistics Data Standards and Data Dictionary and ensure its maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Improves the reliability of Logistics Master Data in its area of expertise, work closely with Master Data Governance & Logistics functions to ensure best-in-class Master Data practices.
• Seeks to automate and simplify repetitive tasks, promoting operational excellence, process standardization and harmonization where appropriate.
• Actively participate in various meetings with internal and external stakeholders in driving timely closure of projects and support activities.

Qualifications & Experience
 

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.S. or BA in supply chain, management and/or engineering (biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or related disciplines). 

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Supply Chain Management, preferably Logistics, warehousing, distribution or Supply Chain Excellence.
• Prior experience in the design, development, testing, deployment and/or day-to-day management of supply chain ERP systems.
• Experience with the SAP S4 HANA in MM, PP, SD, BW modules in Pharma Industry. Experience Machine Learning/AI, JIRA, DataLake, Tableau and Analytical Tools
• Experience in authoring business processes.
• Agile and critical thinker with a passion for innovation and learning new skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to strategically collaborate and influence in the defined area of scope.

Position Summary

The Manager I, FP&A Commercialization is responsible for the execution, governance and development of the Operations processes across BMS. Additionally, the Analyst III, FP&A Operations CIP must collaborate with process stakeholders, and peer process owners to ensure effective and efficient process operations, and identification and leverage of cross-process synergies.

The successful candidate for this role will be someone who can bring best practices to the role and who is skilled at analysis, innovation and continuous improvement of processes.  Key accountabilities will include:
 

• Financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
• Driving innovation and data-based improvement of key processes 
• Creating an excellent internal and external customer experience  
• Nurturing a culture of collaboration and high performance  
• Accurately and candidly assess the performance of the areas they cover / impact 
• Working closely with business and process leaders / owners to develop and communicate strategies, define improvement initiatives and analyze their needs and successes, and collect feedback / analytics to drive continuous improvement 
• Creating a culture of financial discipline and operational excellence 
   

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience is required, preferably in an FP&A capacity. The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person) with minimal travel expected. 

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

FP&A activities 

• Performs FP&A Management Reporting activities for regional and senior management consumption
• Builds budget, forecasting and projections for the markets
• Provides effective analyses to clearly highlight key trends / variances and rationale
• Prepares presentations for budget & projection reviews; updates forecast templates as needed
• Prepares analysis of monthly actual variances vs. budget / projection in alignment with standard framework and templates
• Executes special projects, ad-hoc analysis to ensure highly effective outcomes
   

Process standardization and improvement

• Support Director, FP&A Operations, who is responsible for FP&A Operations processes and activities
• Support the development and execution of a global strategy for policies, processes, and technologies 
• Define and establishing consistent end to end process, KPIs and targets and intervene accordingly to drive results improvement 
• Collaborate with data owners / stewards to align on process and data issues 
• Propose management reporting forecasting improvement projects with a focus on delivering key business outcomes  
• Develop the business case for process improvement decisions, and tracks actuals against the plan to validate execution and improve future plans 
• Participate in process governance 
• Identify, design and incorporate industry leading practices into standard operations within the Hyderabad Hub necessary to identify, and raise / resolve issues involving tradeoffs, especially around cost, quality, and customer service 
• Maintain to a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization and foster a business-oriented culture; continuously monitor the needs of the business 
• Solicit feedback from internal customers, both operationally and regionally to determine the best response to continually improve process performance and year-over-year cost reductions 
• Ensure and continually validate operating procedures are established and documented to support execution, and are maintained to align with process changes 
• Ensure management reporting services are provided to the markets at competitive costs and leading service levels 

Relationship management and teaming   

• Collaborate with Corporate FP&A to ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, and adjust processes to reflect changes required   
• Build and maintain relationships at all levels throughout the organization, specifically with Hyderabad Hub and global Finance leadership 
• Build an external network to ensure regular exposure to new and best practices, technologies, and process governance standards 
• Hold self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy   

Risk management  

• Anticipate needs, assess and manage business risk taking; escalate issues that may impact management reporting process globally; manage through times of crisis and ambiguity
