Should have a solid understanding of web development processes from inception to deployment along with a strong skill set of software architecture design pattern. This role will require excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility due to the changing needs of the business. This individual should be able to translate our customer needs into functional and appealing websites and aspire to combine usability and accessibility with visual designs. This role should be able to create a functional and attractive digital environment for our company, ensuring great user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze application requirements and provide recommended design to support the business
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support
  • As a member working in a team environment, you will work with security officer, enterprise architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design
  • Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse
  • Integration of existing/new Web applications with backend databases (internal and external)
  • Work in a collaborative coding environment with knowledge of CI pipelines, GIT, SVN and deployments
  • Strong Technical writing skills for updating supporting documentation, Knowledgebase articles etc.
  • Follow Agile development practices for project execution
  • Provide technical support and training to appropriate stakeholders

Desired Candidate Characteristics: 

  • Design, implement, and manage AEM infrastructure, including author and publish instances, dispatcher configurations, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  • Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable code releases.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and security of AEM environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate AEM with other systems and services, such as databases, authentication systems, and third-party APIs.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies for AEM environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AEM infrastructure, deployments, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for AEM infrastructure, deployment processes, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AEM features, updates, and industry trends to ensure the continuous improvement of our AEM platform.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior DevOps engineers and team members
  • Must be open to various technology rotations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Strong expertise in AEM architecture, including author and publish instances, dispatcher configurations, and content replication.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, and Docker.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, SSL, DNS, and CDN.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as New Relic, Splunk, or ELK stack.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in AEM authoring best practice
  • Ability to review, revise and optimize AEM templates and components  
  • Experience working with Multi-site manager
  • Knowledge in Adobe Assets (Digital Asset Management) functionality and integrations.
  • Experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry will be a plus.  
  • Experience in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Service Now etc.
