• Requires deep expertise in healthcare compliance data and platform management, typically gained through at least 10-12 years of technology experience in the pharmaceutical space.

Summary:

The position requires an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong focus on cloud native services, AI, Data Engineering, DevOps, Automation and creating reusable platforms. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing complex systems, self-service user and admin portals and cloud-based services, with expert-level experience in AWS and additional experience in GCP or Azure being a plus. We are looking for someone who can learn a lot and quickly on the job, and we have projects using the latest and greatest technology and methodology.

The candidate must be able to code, develop, analyze and design end to end Cloud-Native solutions that uses AI and cloud services to automate complex tasks and simplify user experience. The candidate should have a deep understanding of DevOps/Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) delivery models, Cloud Network, Security, Application architecture, genAI concepts, data engineering and usage models. The candidate must be experienced with Agile, DevOps and test-oriented system design philosophies, as well as ability to interface with other teams that may need education on cloud & AI best practices.

Skills - Must Have

• The ideal candidate must be a strong Senior Developer and have experience using AWS services beyond just EC2s and Databases. Expertise in serverless, managed services, API-Governance, Basic Networking is required. Strong coding skills are expected.
• Skilled with AWS Step Functions, JavaScript, NodeJS and Python, especially  APIGW/Lambda and Elastic Beanstalks.
• Strong understanding of basic cloud networking is required to assist in troubleshooting and designing optimized solutions.
• The candidate must have hands-on experience with cloud projects and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to deliver quality script, code and test suites.
• Must have some experience with AI SDK and services, including genAI, prompt engineering, agents and using multiple LLM models.
• Must have working experience with deep-dive HTTPS troubleshooting,
• Must have lots of experience with REST API and design, GraphQL and React/CSS front end.
• The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge or experience with CloudFormation at scale and reuse, and the ability to influence multiple workstreams with reusable IaC components.
• The candidate should also have experience developing large-scale, multi-account, multi-region, serverless solutions on AWS and addressing all non-functional and AWS Well-Architected concerns in the design.
• Must be able to design for end-user simplicity while ensuring the system can handle complexity and exceptions internally.
• The candidate should have experience in breaking down projects into MVP and Agile deliverables, delivering complex end systems incrementally.
• Must be able to design for disaster recovery in IaaS Cloud platform and possess strong scripting skills, such as Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, SSM, etc.
• Must have experience with managing substantial numbers of cloud accounts consistently using automation. Cloud SDK, CLI and scripting hands-on knowledge is necessary.
• Good listener and communicator. Strong verbal, non-verbal diagramming, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
• Experience with working and building an automated build-pipeline, continuous integration, and continuous deployment. Experience with source code control repositories
• In-depth understanding of Interface-Contracts, Loosely Coupled designs and simplifying solutions and reducing TCO for the end-to-end picture.

Skills - Preferred

• Experience creating and maintaining an Enterprise Internal Development Platform or equivalent highly reusable components or services.
• Prior success in automating a real-world problem from manual parts
• Expertise in Cloud security and access models
• Data engineering background as well as working knowledge programming with genAI is a big plus.
• Management of continuous integration servers like AWS Code Pipeline, Code Build.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools
• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based server configuration, CLI, Script and automation skills, particularly in a Cloud environment.
• Skilled with producing well-designed UX with self-service solutions using Reacts GUI using REST/GraphQL API securely is a big plus.
• Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management across environments.
• AWS Service Catalog experience is a big plus.
• Experience with automated testing and unit test tools and processes is a big plus
• Experience building and supporting serverless automation in AWS

Responsibilities

• Be a Strong Developer & Engineer that the team depends on tackle difficult problems, produce automation, and prove out abstract solutions.
• Create and provide long-term sustainable application, engineering, and operational standards.

Educational, Professional, and Technical Expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or commensurate experience.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a hands-on coding role in projects related to cloud, software development and/or Cloud Center of Excellence (COE).
• At least 3+ years directly working with AWS cloud as a developer.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Willingness to occasionally work in a 24x7 on-call cycle to manage escalations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (content creation such as whitepapers, system diagrams, etc.).
• Ability to explain complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization.

Purpose

The Associate Director, Biostatistics is a core member of cross-functional development teams and contributes to trial design, protocol development, analysis planning, interpretation of results, preparation of regulatory submissions and publications. Statisticians develop collaborative relationships and work effectively with the Global Biometric Data Sciences (GBDS) lead, operations lead, statistical programmers, external partners, medical monitor, protocol manager, data manager, PK scientist, and other members of the study/indication team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Core member of a development team and key sub-teams. Contributes to all aspects of the development strategy.
• Independently leads the development and execution of statistical aspects for one or more clinical trials, including contribution to study trial design, analysis planning, study results presentation and interpretation, clinical study report authoring, regulatory submissions and publications.
• Participates in development strategy, protocols and analysis plans reviews.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Invests in knowledge outside of traditional statistical expertise in the clinical, regulatory and commercial environments that impact the development teams.
• Engages as a matrix team member on protocol teams as a scientific partner in the drug development process.
• Ability to present summary data and analyses to key stakeholders in a clear, concise, complete and transparent manner.
• Possesses technical knowledge of statistical methodology and ability to appropriately apply it in trial design and data analysis for clear, concise, high-quality results.
• Takes accountability for ensuring quality in all planning, design and execution of assignments associated with the assigned protocol or project.

Education/Experience

• PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics or Master’s degree with 7+ (10+) years' of relevant Pharmaceutical/R&D or other related experience, including supporting regulatory filings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of statistical / clinical trials methodology as it relates to clinical development.
• Relevant prior data analysis planning, execution and delivery experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the organization.

Position Summary

The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. 

The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.

The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.

The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) – by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values. 

The TAS role is field-based. A TAS is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Promotion

• Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
• Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating in a balanced manner the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
• Engages with and continuously maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
• Prepares and successfully implements comprehensive territory and account plans.

• Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
• Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network via a customer-centric mindset and desire to create positive and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
• Experience in cardiovascular required.

The Associate/Director of Clinical Science plays a supportive role in clinical development of RazyeBio radiopharmaceuticals for oncology indications. Working in collaboration with clinical development, the position is responsible for various aspects of ongoing clinical trial program-related activities within the relevant therapeutic area. These activities include, but are not limited to, collaboration on functional area activities during program implementation, clinical study start-up/execution/close out, data analysis/reporting, and potentially support of NDA/MAA filings.

Job Responsibilities

·Acquires and utilizes knowledge of clinical trial design to develop or oversee development of specific study concept synopses and protocols.

·Participates in protocol review discussions concerning scientific and procedural aspects of study design.

·In collaboration with Medical Writing and Clinical Operations, prepares study protocols, amendments, specific sections of study manuals and Investigator meeting materials, and other documents as needed with appropriate guidance and supervision.

Purpose of the function

This role performs business partnering, monthly close, financial planning and costing activities in support of Cell Therapy External Manufacturing organization.  This includes supporting preparation of budgets and forecasts, proper costing of products and inventories and timely completion of monthly financial closing and management reporting. 

Business Partnering

• Partner with ExM organization managing Cell Processing. Manager will manage one CMO.  Senior Manager will manage two CMOs.
• Prepare robust budget/projection for CMOs involved in Cell Processing

Monthly accounting and reporting

• Prepare external manufacturing month end journal entries and complete account reconciliations of general ledger accounts in compliance internal controls
• Preparation of external manufacturing month-end reporting package and analysis as well as reporting of key variance drivers to operations management.
• Prepare analysis of inventory accounts including preparation of inventory reserves and write-off analysis.

Budget preparation, Forecasts and Financial Analysis

• Support preparation of financial budgets and forecasts for External Manufacturing operations.
• Participate in the standard cost setting process for externally manufactured cell therapy products including updating system with new standards.
• Assist in various management reports and analysis required by budgeting and forecasting process.

Other Responsibilities

• Support the cycle counting and physical inventory programs ensuring a high standard of inventory control.
• Prepares and maintains Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation for cost accounting functions.
• Satisfy internal and external audit requests as necessary.
• Recommends and implements improvements to current processes, where appropriate.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• BA or BS in Finance / Accounting.  MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.
• Three-Five years of accounting/financial experience with at least 1-2 years of relevant manufacturing finance experience.  Specific pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is not required.
• Exceptional analytical skills with ability to understand the bigger picture (i.e. impacts across the business, etc.)
• Team player able to interact with all levels and work on projects in a cross-functional team environment as well as interfacing effectively with global counterparts
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to clearly explain financial information to a variety of audiences
• Highly motivated self-starter with a willingness to assume responsibility, take ownership for their work and intelligently challenge the status quo
• Tier one ERP experience necessary with preference on Oracle.
• Exceptional systems skills required including financial modeling in Excel, business intelligence tools, and budgeting and financial reporting applications.

Reporting into the Senior Director, Field HEOR , the Associate Director, Field HEOR is a field-based role focused on applying clinical expertise and experience/knowledge of payors, health policy, payer utilization management, and pharmacoeconomics to strategically support Karuna’s scientific strategy and business objectives.  The AD, Field HEOR works to ensure that payers, PBMs, IDNs, and insurance companies understand the value proposition, clinical differentiators, safety, and efficacy of Karuna’s products by presenting relevant formulary information, as well as pharmacoeconomic and clinical data, to support formulary decision making.  Collaborating closely with the Medical Team and the Market Access team, the AD, Field HEOR engages in scientific exchange and enters strategic discussions with health care decision makers as they relate to medical/clinical and health economic and outcome research (HEOR) data with payers, policy makers, and other decision makers and influencers.  

Responsibilities

Associate Director, Field HEOR

• Provide comprehensive, accurate, fair, balanced, objective, and scientifically rigorous information and appropriate product and disease state education to health care decision makers in compliance with all policies and procedures

• Build strategic, long-term relations with customers to be viewed as partners by both internal and external stakeholders

• Communicate approved clinical information to targeted decision makers (Pharmacy Directors, Medical Directors, Case Managers, Clinical Pharmacists, Formulary Decision Makers and Influencers, etc.) within payer organizations and to managed care professionals to ensure access to effective treatment for people living with psychiatric and neurologic conditions

• Effectively communicate and appropriately collaborate with the Market Access team to ensure strategic alignment and effective implementation of the clinical strategy for National and Regional Managed Care accounts, covering all books of business (e.g., Commercial, Managed Medicaid, Fee-for-Service, Medicare, PBMs, and Exchange Plans)

• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information from health care decision makers and managed care professionals in a timely manner and ensure all scientific exchange and medical/clinical educational needs are met

• Provide account relationship support to the managed care account management teams by identifying and developing relationships with key decision makers/external experts within managed care organizations and other institutions that purchase or manage the use of Karuna products

• Provide input and strategic direction to the development of market access -specific customer facing resources

• Participate in and lead field team activities at relevant managed care conferences

• Assume a leadership role by taking responsibility as needed for special projects related to Medical and Clinical Affairs activities

The AD, Field HEOR (inclusive of above)

Serve as an extension of the field leadership team by serving as the point person for strategic field initiatives.  work with the field leadership to determine a tactical plan to achieve a strategic objective and take a lead role in the execution of tactics;

• Be seen as a subject matter expert on the team in the disease states of interest to Karuna serving as a resource to the team and other internal colleagues,

• Participate in and contribute to the development of the annual field medical plan,

• Represent field leadership on committees and during meetings as the need arises.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in medical/biosciences (i.e., PharmD, MD, PhD.) AND minimum 3 to 5 years related experience (field liaison responsible for market access , worked for managed care organization, corporate or field HEOR, etc.) strongly preferred

• Current market access/HEOR experience in the therapeutic areas of interest preferred

• The AD, Field HEOR will also have at least 10 years of medical experience with the pharmaceutical industry in the payor space

• Extensive knowledge of the Medicaid/Medicare environment, payor market commercial insurance, as well as the pharmaceutical corporate environment

• Proven track record of establishing, maintaining, and enhancing effective and successful peer-to-peer relationships with external experts

• Broad-based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge and experience presenting disease and treatment-related information

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation and teaching skills

• Excellent working knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance issues related to the Field HEOR role

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members; ability to influence without direct authority

• Analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Duties:  Evaluate, improve and develop the functional capabilities related to econometric modeling, segmentation, test & learn frameworks, customer analytics and multi-channel marketing (MCM) analytics. Lead analyses to measure channel and message effectiveness utilizing appropriate data science and statistical techniques such as regression, forecasting, pathway modeling etc. Develop and deliver the brand segmentation, design and execution of Market Mix Modeling and Test & Control analysis to measure the Return of Investment of promotional tactics and assess business impact, and real-time media measurement and optimization. Develop response models, resource allocation simulations, and pro-forma investment analysis. Implement MCM analytics delivery consistent with the organization’s growing, multi-country MCM strategy. Own all aspects of the marketing measurement / marketing mix process - managing vendor partners, reviewing model outputs to identify key insights, building compelling presentations, and delivering results to brand teams. Manage all the input data sources and data quality by creating a streamlined marketing data capture process in partnership with data strategy team and marketing agencies.

Manage a team of onsite and offshore employees to ensure round the clock delivery of analytics needs for Oncology therapy area. Ensure brand level resource allocation recommendations align with channel level activities, establishing a link between strategic choice and operational execution. Improve value to the business and our patients through deepened market understanding and streamlined engagement and collaboration with variety of stakeholders including brand marketing, forecasting, finance, market research, sales leadership. Facilitate detailed discussions to identify opportunities to refine/build capabilities and tools, including training/deployment of predictive models as well as assessment of those models post deployment. Lead and support Oncology franchise commercial analytics team by developing capabilities around cross tumor analytics, portfolio performance assessment, contextualizing market event dynamics, and harmonizing optimization approaches across supporting functions. Collaborate with finance, market research, forecasting, and engagement planning teams to diagnose key business challenges and create a commercial narrative synthesizing brand/market landscape. Drive in-line promotional strategy for healthcare practitioners (HCP) to address the identified roadblocks (trial/depth/persistency), and lead key commercial projects to ensure robust strategic planning and strong execution to drive success of the brand. Analyze customer insights, brand and market trends, & competitive response to develop differentiated HCP/Patient marketing plans which address key challenges in the disease state, capitalize on prioritized business opportunities, and accelerate growth in hyper-competitive categories. Global Medical Affairs, Portfolio Strategy is responsible for the global portfolio planning activities of the NeuroPsychiatry Medical Affairs Department, including global/regional brand and medical planning, budget planning, congress planning, workforce planning, and planning and execution of special projects.  The Medical Affairs Portfolio Strategy Planner is responsible for partnering with colleagues in Medical Affairs and in other functions including Commercial to lead or support Strategic Planning responsibilities.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for coordinating the various Medical Affairs functions involved in the global brand, launch and medical affairs plans to develop and communicate effectively the Medical view in the global medical and marketing planning process.
• Responsible for working with the NeuroPsychiatry Medical Teams as well as Cross-Functional Partners and coordinating the Integrated Evidence Plans (IEPs) for each disease area for life cycle management in collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders, as well as supporting the Medical Planning Process
• Collaborating with Medical Evidence Generation Teams and other Medical and Commercial S & Ops Teams, GDO and GDD Teams
• Establishing departmental workforce plans across Global Medical Affairs departments
• In collaboration with Finance, establish budgets for NeuroPsychiatry Medical Affairs (IIT budgets for all regions).
• Work within Medical Affairs and Finance to forecast IIT cost recognition and develop risk-adjustment model to allow better forecasting of committed spending.
• Collaborate with Scientific Communications and Global Franchise Teams to ensure asset teams complete publication plans for all disease areas, and to update them regularly
• Identify studies at risk for failing to meet timelines and collaborate on mitigation plans, negotiated with key internal stakeholders and investigators.
• Provide critical thinking /probing questions for problem-solving/ improve the capability in handling possible risk for medical evidence generation.
• Work with other key stakeholders in regions to identify best practices of all Medical Affairs Functions, evaluate skills, competencies and capabilities in the groups, and identify areas that can be improved
• Responsible for special projects that require Medical Leadership and involve cross-functional teams.
• Working with other PMs on the team, ensuring consistent communication, tracking of congress activities, budgets, and other medical activities such as impact agenda, etc.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, etc) in a scientific discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of 7+ years of relevant professional experience required; experience in medical affairs strategy preferred
• Experience in clinical research and development, or medical affairs in Psychiatry/Neurology preferred
• Operational experience across a range of commercial and/or R&D roles a plus
• Must demonstrate ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, negotiate and collaborate.
• Effective communication skills – written, oral, and interpersonal.; experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a track record of effective and influential presentations.
• Proven track record in matrix functions exerting influence to achieve results rather than counting on organizational authority
• Demonstrates initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments
• Proven team player with ability to navigate cross functionally
• Experience in designing and tracking Key Performance Indicators preferred
