Introduction:
Bristol Myers Squibb is looking for an experienced transactional attorney who can be successful within our fast-paced, adaptive and focused culture.
Position Overview:
This position will be primarily responsible for providing legal advice, guidance and support for Alliance Management and Business Development transactions primarily for Translational Medicine, Digital Health and Research Enabling Transactions. M&A transactions and equity investments will be part of the responsibility.
Position will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Business Development and Alliance Management.
Responsibilities:
Lead negotiations and provide direct counseling to internal clients on routine, moderate and complex Business Development transactions primarily for Translational Medicine, Digital Health and Research Enabling Transactions.
Provide legal advice and legal interpretation on rights and obligations under executed agreements overseen by Alliance Management.
Assist with resolution of disputes under executed agreements overseen by Alliance Management.
Lead negotiations for new agreements that expand the relationship with existing collaborators that are parties to executed agreements overseen by Alliance Management.
Advise internal clients in structuring and advising on various transactions in a way that advances the company’s strategy while addressing legal risks.
Draft, negotiate and finalize routine, non-routine, complex and novel contracts in an effective, efficient and time-sensitive manner.
Identify and resolve critical legal issues and identify and help resolve critical business issues arising from transactions.
Assist with negotiating and drafting agreements for some M&A transactions and some equity investments.
Proactively advise internal clients regarding transaction issues in close collaboration with lawyers from other practice areas and relevant subject matter experts throughout the company.
Demonstrate a service-oriented approach to advising internal client groups.
Demonstrate full commitment to Bristol-Myers Squibb’s mission and values.
Qualifications/Competencies:
Law degree from recognized university. Qualification to practice law in New Jersey or ability to obtain a NJ in-house counsel limited license.
Minimum of 10 years of legal experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating Business Development agreements related to the bio/pharmaceutical or life-sciences industry, including license agreements, collaboration agreements, sponsored research agreements, master research and development agreements and complex agreements for diagnostic products for therapeutics.
Understanding of health care industry.
Has excellent interpersonal skills and can successfully manage internal client expectations and can work/operate well with a variety of personalities/capabilities in cross-functional teams, matrix environment.
Creative, thoughtful and practical problem-solving skills.
Must have high integrity, ability to assess risk, ability to make decisions and think strategically while applying knowledge of applicable legal issues.
Listens to internal client needs and communicates with clients with confidence and diplomacy.
Excellent verbal and writing skills and business judgment are required.
Ability to communicate effectively with management and senior management personnel.
Ability to train and develop the other members of the team.
Ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently and perform against broad objectives.
Possess strong work ethic.
Preference for candidates with a strong scientific background, especially in biology, chemistry or biochemistry, and with experience supporting Alliance Management and drafting and negotiating complex Translational Medicine and Digital Health agreements.
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $225,000 - $260,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Position Summary:
The Director of Safety and Sustainability Culture will be responsible for developing and driving the company’s cultural strategy, focusing on instilling an actively caring mindset among all employees. Position Summary
BMS is making a commitment to become a world leader in cellular therapy. Cellular therapy represents a significant advancement in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. BMS will leverage its unique capabilities, building from over 20 years of involvement in cell therapy and strategic collaborations.
The Cell Therapy Account Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for achieving commercial success within the treatment sites through excellence in account planning, execution, and collaboration with all stakeholders to provide a seamless and differentiated patient experience. The Cell Therapy Account Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the CAR T treatment sites and lead the development of the site-specific account plans coordinating the deployment of resources tailored to meet the customer needs.
For this position, the company seeks a highly engaged team player with strong entrepreneurial skills who can establish our CAR T therapies to be highly successful in the cellular therapy marketplace.

The position is field based.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for assessing, cultivating, and managing customer relationships across a broad set of stakeholders within assigned accounts to ensure achievement of commercial objectives for the launches in cellular therapy.
Responsible for the development of a customized site-specific account plan coordinating the deployment of resources to meet the customer needs and ensure a seamless and differentiated customer experience.
Serve as the main point of contact for designated accounts and collaborate with cross-functional partners to create a streamlined, organized interface between account stakeholders and all field facing colleagues.
Navigate complex account environments and understand the needs/issues of account stakeholders at all levels and drive to solutions that address the needs.
Collaborate and communicate regularly with cross-functional partners to support the referral of appropriate patients to the treatment centers.
Maintain and continuously develop both disease and product specific knowledge.
Actively gains customer insights and provides timely feedback to cross-functional partners and Area Business Manager regarding account business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, performance, industry issues and business opportunities and risks.
Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of cell therapy activities.
This position requires the ability to drive within their assigned territory by automobile (and in some territories to travel by airplane).
Qualifications & Experience Required:
7+ years of sales experience, marketing, and/or commercial experience required with 5+ years in Hematology/Oncology
Key account management strategy – experience working in large, complex accounts, identifying influential stakeholders, and working with them to better serve patients
Customer service oriented – quick responses, highly reliable, excellent follow up
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with leadership and key cross-functional partners across the internal organization in order to implement key account strategies
High degree of technical expertise and business acumen
Strong analytical, consulting, and business planning skills necessary to execute on key strategic imperatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an effective presentation style to connect with diverse groups of customers
Thorough understanding of U.S. compliance guidelines
Ability to work independently and travel as needed (up to 50%)
Valid driver's license
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Qualifications & Experience Preferred:
Experience in hospital sales, academic and community setting preferred

Position Summary
The position of Associate Director, Corporate Financial Reporting is a crucial position within the External Reporting and Consolidation team (Controllership organization), responsible for the direct oversight of the financial and external reporting process. This individual will be a key liaison to the global finance organization and business process owners and will interact daily with regional / functional controllers, managers, and colleagues of various regions and enabling functions, as well as other members of BMS Controllers/Finance, Informational technology, and Legal/Compliance organizations.
The Associate Director, Corporate Financial Reporting will have substantial exposure to pharmaceutical industry accounting and reporting practices. This highly visible position provides an opportunity to enhance the financial reporting and analysis skills, strengthen verbal and written communication skills, and expand leadership skills in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Managing and filing the Company’s annual 10-K and quarterly 10-Q financial statements with the SEC, including the related XBRL filings;
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting transactions, pre-close and accounting close meetings as well as coordination of all financial reporting deliverables.
- Preparation of financial information supporting the Company’s annual report;
- Drafting management discussion and analysis and notes to the financial statement disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements;
- Analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB
- Maintaining internal control documentation supporting the financial statement preparation and filing processes;
- Analysis of peer company financial filings for best practice incorporation into BMS financial reporting.
Process Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and execute the plans through to completion.
- Analyze and implement changes to corporate reporting systems, processes, reports and controls to meet the Company’s evolving business models.
- Provide strategic leadership in conjunction with IT, stakeholders and consultants to implement more efficient and effective processes and technology solutions for consolidations and reporting.
Team Leadership
- Assisting in managing staff’s day-to-day responsibilities, coaching and mentoring, identifying professional development needs and training opportunities, and annual performance evaluations.
- Assisting external auditors in planning and execution of annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Assisting in special project and Ad hoc analysis.
- Establish and manage financial reporting deadlines including communication of key close date calendar.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8-12 years of accounting and reporting experience.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA required.
- Pharmaceutical/Life Science/Biotech industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated business partnering skills and strong collaboration experience (inside and outside of finance).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, highly motivated and able to make decisions independently.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workloads and exercise a high degree of adaptability, while working in a complex work environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to understand complex reporting requirements and business performance, and be able to articulate drivers of change in a simplified way.
- Team player and process oriented.
- Working knowledge of Workiva and SAP is preferred.

Position Summary
The Cell Therapy Development and Operations (CTDO) Analytics team within Business Insights and Technology (BI&T) partners with the Bristol-Myers Squibb CTDO organization to support data analytics for all key functions within CTDO including Cell Therapy Development (CTD), Cell Therapy Manufacturing Operations (CTMO), Cell Therapy Vector and External Manufacturing Operations (VexMO), Cell Therapy Supply Chain (CTSC), Cell Therapy Quality (CTQ), Cell Therapy Technical Operations (CTTO), and Cell Therapy Product Strategy (CTPS). Job Description
The Manager; CTDO Analytics will be part of a collaborative data science and business insights team dedicated to answering key business questions for the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) and CTDO business units, and will report to the Senior Director; CTDO Analytics. The Manager will develop advanced data analytic tools to answer business operations and strategy questions for the member functions that enable end-to-end Cell Therapy development, manufacturing, and distribution activities.

Conducts detailed team walkthroughs and peer review of team’s work to ensure quality, cross-training and knowledge management within the team.
Leads standardization of analytics and process methodologies in GPS Analytics.
Authors detailed documentation that describes analytics tool development, assumptions and input data and data processing. Authors user manual for dissemination within stakeholder user base.
Guides external consultants in adoption of standards.
Driving Analytics and Capabilities
Designs, develops and implements a broad array of business analytics that solve complex problems in a computationally efficient and statistically appropriate manner.
Identifies new opportunities to further leverage analytics, data and analytical tools.
Actively manages multiple projects in parallel from charter through completion.
Ensures best practice adoption within stated areas of responsibility, applying appropriate levels of technical capability, standardization and subject matter expertise.
Defines standards for the provision of analytics to support planning and decision making processes, and utilizes appropriate escalation processes.
Acts as subject matter expert of the Bristol-Myers Squibb technology stack within team and provides technical leadership for driving technology solutions in analytics deployment.
Drives capability build for data automation, cloud computing and data lake integration within team.
Contributes to defining the overall team strategy in collaboration with team leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in engineering, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, biochemistry, physics or other quantitative area of study with 1+ years of experience preferred.
1+ years hands-on working in the area of data science, data analytics, data integration, reporting.
1+ years of hands-on experience with data science and analytics, modeling platforms, data engineering software and visualization tools (e.g. Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, R, Python, SAP HANA, Tableau, Redshift, Postgres, AWS Cloud).
Ability to architect analytic and data science solutions.

Support the coordination of key disease area activities across GI & GU tumors, such as budget planning, team meetings, vendor management, and more.

Qualifications
Advanced Medical/Biology degree (MS, PhD, PharmD) with clinical and/or minimal 2 years of Pharma industry experience required

The Associate, Patient Materials Operations, MSS handles patient material needs / requirements for CAR-T production per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in controlled and/or classified environments under the supervision of Patient Materials Operations Management. Specialist must adhere to regulatory requirements while performing job functions. Job duties are performed within a team according to an assigned, production shift schedule. Communication of production deviations and assistance with quality investigations are required, as applicable.

Responsibilities:
- Performs tasks for Cell Therapy products to support product Value Stream outputs according to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) following the current, approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Maintains timing according to the production schedule to ensure on-time logistics.
- Performs apheresis receipt of patient materials and prepares final product shipments for couriers.
- Executes receipt and discard of ex-US Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC) and ex-US Cryopreserved Material (CMAT).
- Supports Sample Retrieval, Sample Movements, and Sample Storage.
- Supports transfers of Manufactured Goods to off-site facility.
- Supports manual and electronic batch record executions, deviation investigations, and closure of CAPAs.
- Maintains timing according to the production schedule to ensure on-time logistics.
- Ensures all documentation is correct and addresses procedural/documentation errors expeditiously and effectively.
- Work with management to ensure adequately trained personnel are available to perform all manufacturing activities.
- Records patient material handling data and information in a clear, concise, format according to proper GDPs.
- Able to problem solve with minimal supervision.
- Works in a team based, cross-functional environment to complete tasks required by shift schedule.
- Must be able to work in an environment with blood derived components.
- Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

Position: Manager, State and Local Indirect Tax
Location: Lawrenceville, New Jersey
Position Summary
As a Manager, State and Local Tax (SALT) Indirect Tax, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Managers responsible for overseeing the company's state and local indirect tax function. This role involves ensuring compliance with SALT regulations, management of state notices and audit inquiries, optimizing tax positions, and managing various aspects of SALT planning and reporting. The Manager will work closely with the US Tax Teams and other departments, including finance, treasury and legal, and will play a key role in shaping the company's state and local tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of State Sales & Use Tax returns including account reconciliations & payment processing in collaboration with other staff & service providers.
- Preparation and review of State & Local Gross Receipts Tax returns including account reconciliations & payment processing in collaboration with other staff & service providers.
- Preparation and review of State & Local Personal Property Tax returns and Business licenses and registrations.
- Review of Real Property Tax Bills in consultation with property tax advisors as well as budgeting, accounting and payment thereof.
- Assist with State & Local Sales & Use and Gross Receipts tax audits in collaboration with outside service providers and Director, Tax Compliance, State, Sales & Use, Operations.
- Collaborate with various functions of the company to minimize S&U and Gross Receipts tax liability and reduce audit risk.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes including integration of acquired businesses.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, leading, mentoring and providing guidance and performance feedback to foster growth and development of our tax professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; preferably with a Masters of Tax and/or CPA license.
- Minimum of 8+ years of SALT Indirect tax experience working in a complex manufacturing environment or in the pharmaceutical industry, preferable with 2+ years of public accounting experience.
- In-depth knowledge of SALT Indirect tax laws, regulations, proven experience managing complex SALT Indirect Tax issues and audits and preferable experience with accounting for Indirect Taxes.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a solid technology background, preferable with knowledge of SAP, knowledge of intelligent automation such as Alteryx, RPA, Power BI and Tableau is preferable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Position Summary
The Senior District Business Manager is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the DBM is to be accountable for leading, coaching, and motivating a team of approximately 10 TASs to drive the adoption of BMS assigned Psychiatry portfolio and generate demand. The DBM is accountable for coaching of TASs on specific learning objectives (selling skills, scientific engagement, and use of digital capabilities) and for ensuring continuous improvement in the core skills of their team. The DBM also plays a leadership role in business and account planning and championing the utilization of new digital capabilities and tools such as Medical on Call and CE^3.
We are looking for leaders who can inspire and motivate a team to reach and exceed business goals while maximizing their growth and development potential.
The DBM reports to the Regional Business Director and works collaboratively across matrix of Commercial, Medical, Access organizations, for example Regional Marketing (RMK), and Acess and Reimbusment Managers (ARM) and other field roles in the new Commercialization model to appropriately address customer needs and ensure that BMS delivers on set sales targets.
The DBM role is field-based. A DBM is anticipated to spend 4 days in the field with TASs, depending on the geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
Focused in-role coaching and developing of TASs
Sourcing, recruiting, onboarding and training Therapeutic Area Specialists to support launch of KarXT (xanomeline-trospium).
Coach TASs on specific competencies and learning objectives (e.g., scientific agility, customer/commercial mindset, change agility & teamwork/enterprise mindset). DBMs will conduct selected ride-alongs with TASs for the most important HCPs as relevant, according to coaching plan.
Ownership for TASs learning journey and accountable for ensuring continuous improvement in core skills and behavior (e.g., scientific agility, patient mindset, digital agility, analytical mindset).
Champion adoption of new capabilities (e.g., CE^3 analytics, content personalization)
- Understand and role model new capabilities and tools e.g., sharing knowledge, information, insights and experiences with new tools with the TAS team.
- Effectively coach TASs on how to appropriately leverage CE^3 insights to guide call planning and call preparationRegularly convene field team to exchange experiences, collect feedback, proactively coach on change leadership, and encourage adoption of capabilities and new ways of working.
Execute strategic planning activities (e.g., promo program planning, budget planning, and prioritization at HCP level)
Engage with relevant insights to prioritize accounts and develop strategies for key accounts.
Ensure continues customer experience improvement
Lead financial and program planning for district

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or other related industry experience.
Understanding of Neuropsychiatry environment, call points, and industry trends preferred.
5 or more years of prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales, or equivalent experience in leading and managing high-performing teams is strongly preferred.
Pharma experience is strongly preferred, including an understanding of reimbursement processes, access, and distribution environment.
Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
Proven successful track record of selecting, developing, and retaining talented individuals.
Previous experience that has required the use of analytical skills, selling skills, development of strong business acumen, and working knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain.
