Position Summary:

Join the Bristol Myers Squibb as Frontend Developer to design and deliver highly responsive web and mobile applications using JavaScript and Node.js. Partner with functional colleagues to understand challenges and build user-friendly interfaces and self-service portals that solve them. Work alongside cloud, data, and AI technical colleagues to research and apply cutting-edge frontend technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and modern frameworks like React or Angular.

  • Architect and implement high-quality, scalable, and secure frontend solutions.

  • Lead technical discussions and provide strategic input on frontend architecture and technologies.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional code.

  • Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow.

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and contribute to design reviews.

  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or commensurate experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in frontend development. (Cloud -Good to Have)

  • Strong knowledge of web development and frontend technologies.

  • Experience in working with any of the cloud technologies and integrations.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS.

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js or Angular.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

  • Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.

  • Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD process.

  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.

  • Building dynamic dashboard that can be used for enterprise – Check with the candidate (good to have)

  • Experience with front-end build tools, such as npm. (package manager)

  • Experience with server-side rendering and client-side rendering techniques.

  • Experience in working with any of the cloud technologies.

  • Ability to design responsive web applications that work across different devices.

  • Knowledge of security principles including XSS, CSRF etc.

  • Strong understanding of frontend optimization techniques, including image optimization, lazy loading, and code splitting.

  • Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

  • Good listener and communicator with strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Experience on integration with Microsoft Teams is as plus.
