The Senior Clinical Scientist reports through the Clinical Science function which provides scientific expertise necessary to design and deliver clinical studies and programs.
Position Summary / Objective
Responsible for implementation, planning, and execution of assigned clinical trial activities. Serves as Clinical Trial Lead for one or more trials
Successfully leads, plans, and executes trial level activities for multiple trials with minimal to moderate level of supervision
Provides scientific and clinical leadership to team of supporting Clinical Scientists (matrix leadership)
Co-Leads study team meetings in partnership with GDO protocol manager; and collaborate with cross functional study team members
May support clinical development planning (collaboration with Clinical Development Lead/Clinical Trial Physician for provision and analysis of data to support future planning)
Position Responsibilities
Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned protocols and protocol requirements; educate supporting team members
Plan and lead the implementation all study startup/conduct/close-out activities as applicable
Evaluate innovative trial designs (collaboration with Medical Monitor/Clinical Development Lead)
Protocol and ICF development process with minimal guidance; including writing, reviewing, adjudication/resolution of cross functional comments and ensuring high clinical quality (collaboration with Medical Writing)
Site-facing activities such as training and serving as primary contact for clinical questions
Activities related to data generation and validation, including CRF design, clinical data review/query resolution; ensure consistent, quality data review by supporting CS team
Clinical data trend identification; provide trends and escalate questions to Medical Monitor
Develop clinical narrative plan; review clinical narratives
Provision of information required by Protocol Manager for development of trial budget, CRO scope of work, etc.
Review development of site and CRA training materials and presentation at SIV and Investigator meetings and support on Study committee (e.g., DMC) activities
Drafting/review and validation of clinical study reports (CSRs) and clinical portions of Regulatory Documents (e.g., IB, DSUR, regulatory responses)
Collaborate and serve as primary liaison between external partners for scientific advice
Degree Requirements
Degree in Life Sciences (MD, PhD, Pharm D, MS, RN or other scientific field preferred)
Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in clinical science, clinical research, or equivalent
Proficient knowledge of GCP/ICH, drug development process, study design, statistics, clinical operations
Proficient knowledge and skills to support program specific data review, trend identification, data interpretation
Knowledge of the establishment and operation of data monitoring committees, dose review teams, and independent response adjudication committees
Key Competency Requirements

For California based role, the starting compensation for this job is a range from $159,000-$200,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
For Cambridge, MA based role, the starting compensation for this job is a range from $167,000-$210,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Position Summary / Objective
- Serves as a primary source of medical accountability and oversight for multiple clinical trials
- Matrix management responsibilities across the internal and external network
- Manages Phase 1 – Phase 3 studies, with demonstrated decision making capabilities

Position Responsibilities
Medical Monitoring
- Contributes to and is a key member of a high performing Study Delivery Team (SDT) and may be a member of the Clinical Development Team (CDT)
- Leads medical data review of trial data, including eligibility review
- Holds responsibility for site interactions in partnership with the Clinical Scientist (CS) for medical questions and education (including safety management guidelines)
- Holds responsibility for assessment of key safety-related serious adverse events in partnership with Worldwide Patient Safety and oversees safety narratives
- Leads collaboration with CS and inputs into protocols, providing medical strategic oversight in protocol development (input on inclusion/exclusion and other safety-related clinical considerations)
- Fulfills GCP and compliance obligations for clinical conduct and maintains all required training
Clinical Development Expertise & Strategy
- In collaboration with the Clinical Development Lead, designs and develops clinical plans and protocols with a strong strategic focus based on knowledge of asset/drug, disease area and relevant science in order to meet regulatory and disease strategy targets
- Provides oversight and medical accountability for a group of studies
- Leads the analysis of benefit/risk for clinical development protocols in a matrix team environment working with Clinical Scientists (CS)
- Partners with CS to support executional delivery of studies (e.g., site activation, enrollment status, as well as adjudication for protocol violations, significant, non-significant deviations etc.)
- Identifies and builds relationships with principal investigators. Identifies and cultivates thought leaders in order to gain their inputs on emerging science in drug and biomarker research, disease knowledge, and design of clinical development studies and programs
- Maintains a strong medical/scientific reputation within the disease area. Has in-depth knowledge of etiology, natural history, diagnosis, and treatment of the disorder. Holds strong expertise in the disease area by attending scientific conferences and ongoing review of the literature
- Keeps abreast of development and regulatory issues related to other competitive or relevant compounds in development and how our portfolio fits into the competitive landscape
- Provides ongoing medical education in partnership with collaborating Clinical Scientists to allow for protocol-specific training, supporting the study team, investigators, and others
Health Authority Interactions & Publications
- Contributes to and serves as medical point of expertise in key Health Authority interactions and advisory board meetings as Senior Clinical Trial Physician
- Authors/drafts clinical content for CSRs, regulatory reports, briefing books and submission documents to support closure, clinical narratives, reporting and filling of the study in partnership with CSs
Degree Requirements
- MD required (or x-US equivalent)
Experience Requirements
- 5 or more years of Industry experience and/or clinical trials experience is required
Key Competency Requirements
- Ability to communicate information clearly and lead presentations in scientific and clinical settings
- Subspecialty training in applicable therapeutic area desired
- Expertise in the scientific method to test hypotheses, including statistical design, analysis, and interpretation
- Expertise in drug development process
- Expertise in the components needed to execute an effective clinical plan and protocols
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment

Position: US Field Medical Oncology, Medical Science Liaison – Central Region MGG Team
Location: MI-North IN – North OH
The MSL role embodies our medical mission to be recognized as the trusted partner for internal stakeholders and the healthcare community, driving scientific exchange to enhance medical education, data generation, insight generation and patients’ access to medicine.
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for identifying disease and product related medical needs in a defined geography. The primary role of the MSL is to develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) within their healthcare system. The purpose of their interactions is to engage in meaningful scientific exchange that will ensure patients have access to BMS medicines, to ensure their safe and appropriate use through peer to peer discussions aligned with medical strategies and needs expressed by external stakeholders, and to facilitate research. The MSL also serves as the medical resource for external stakeholders in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- External Environment and Customer Focus
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders, within a given geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR related questions. The MSL will use various channels for interactions (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.)
- Demonstrate proficiency in using available scientific resources and presentations. Effectively present information to TL/HCPs and be able to respond to questions, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives.
- Actively assess the medical landscape by meeting with TL/HCPs/Access Stakeholders to understand their needs and expertise. Continuously update own knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, health economics outcomes research and scientific activities. Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models and actively prepare to address informational needs of customers
- Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research projects, and investigator sponsored research (ISR) of interest and in alignment with BMS strategic objectives
- Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings. Collect and provide meaningful medical insights and/or impact by communicating these back to the medical and commercial organizations to support strategy development and business decisions
- Contribute to the Medical Plan
- Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL Interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and TLs needs
- Adopt institution/account planning approach and contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans
- Contribute to development and delivery of scientifically meaningful medical programs/projects in line with the local Medical and Field Medical plan
- Provide Medical Support
- Establish a customer-centric, compliant collaboration with cross-matrix field teams within assigned geography
- As necessary and appropriate, support the initial and ongoing medical/scientific area and product specific training and provide key scientific updates to internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR, Value Access & Payment)
- Provide scientific support at promotional meetings by presenting scientific and clinical data, by evaluating speakers and by giving support to BMS-contracted speakers (if applicable)
- Participate in assigned Congress activities
- Support Clinical Trial Activities
- Support Interventional and Non Interventional Research (NIR) studies (e.g. identification and assessment of potential study sites) to facilitate patient recruitment and/or discussions around the safe and effective use of BMS investigational products, as agreed with home office medical and Global Development Operations (GDO) and as defined by the study scope document
- Provide recommendations and insights to clinical development team on study and site feasibilities within the therapeutic area based on knowledge of the field and through direct contacts with potential investigators, as agreed with home office medical and GDO
- Support HCPs in the ISR submission and execution process and study follow-up as agreed upon with home office medical and GDO
- Ensure that BMS Pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators of local studies, and alert appropriate BMS personnel to any identified Adverse Events
- Actively support CRO sponsored studies as agreed with home office medical and GDO and as defined by the study scope document
Qualifications & Experience
- Required Experience
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific Disease Area or with a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Knowledge Desired
- Disease area knowledge and an understanding of scientific publications
- Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area, competitive landscape and patient treatment trends
- Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
- Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment
- Knowledge of HEOR core concepts
- Excellent English language skills, spoken and written
- Experience Desired
- A minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment
- Prior MSL experience
- Ability to work independently and act as a team player
- Translating scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form to help physicians best serve their patients
- Good communication and presentation skills to present scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals
- Developing peer-to-peer relationships with TLs, scientists and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments

- Ability to drive a company-provided car is an essential qualification of this position. - Travel Requirement
- Travel required. Position is field based, MSL will be required to live in the territory which they manage or within 50 miles of the territory borders

The primary focus of the Quality Control Associate role to support product lot release and in-process testing within a cGMP environment. Additionally, this role may provide limited technical support and troubleshooting for the support of in-process, final drug product and stability testing.
Shift Available:
Wednesday - Saturday, Onsite 1:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Responsibilities:
Perform or support cGMP lot release, in-process, and stability testing using various software packages.
Ensure timely completion of testing and tasks as assigned.
Perform assay, form review and data verification.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred in science. Associates degree with equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Demonstrated experience with basic laboratory techniques and basic laboratory safety practices.
Prior experience in cell and molecular biology techniques (e.g., cell based assays, flow cytometry, qPCR, aseptic technique) is preferred.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for identifying disease and product related medical needs in a defined geography. Position Summary
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. Position Summary
As a Senior Manager, Tax Operations, you will provide support to the US Tax Team for income tax provisions under ASC 740-10 for projection cycles, quarterly and annual reporting on a GAAP and Non-GAAP basis, assist with Federal Tax Return compliance support, manage a variety of special tax projects, perform tax technical research, monitor legislation and coordinate support for audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and review of GAAP and Non-GAAP effective tax rate (ETR) calculations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Review and approval of assigned US entities’ income tax provisions under ASC 740-10 for projection cycles, quarterly actuals and annual reporting.
- Responsible for the oversight of IRC Sec. 174 costs including the calculation, analysis, modelling and coordination with US Tax Team for all US Tax impacts for projection cycles, quarterly actuals and tax compliance.
- Responsible for supporting the oversight, coordination and collaboration with internal stakeholders, outside consultants and our Tax Compliance Team for US tax credit incentives, specifically Research & Development and Orphan Drug credits.
- Assist with US tax return compliance process, including liaison with external consultants, organize and gather source information, manage tax return studies and tax software administration.
- Lead and assist with tax technology strategic imperatives to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to identification, recommendation and integration of tax technology implementations, automation, data wrangling, and analytics to continuously enhance processes and stakeholder value.
- Provide support for the analysis and accounting of the US return to provision (RTP) process and adjustments, including variance analysis and the delivery of an executive summary of differences and effective tax rate impacts.
- Support acquisition accounting and integration of acquired businesses, internal reorganizations, divestitures, and oversee accounting and tracking of collaboration agreements and joint ventures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; preferably with a Masters of Tax and/or CPA license.
- 8+ years of US income tax provision, compliance, and tax accounting experience with a large multinational organization and preferably 2+ years of public accounting experience working in a complex manufacturing environment in the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, including GAAP and Non-GAAP accounting, legal entity forecasting and accounting.
- Solid technology background with knowledge of OneSource Provision (knowledge of TaxStream is very beneficial), SharePoint, Excel along with other Microsoft Office products, SAP, and preferable experience with intelligent automation such as Alteryx, RPA, Power BI and Tableau.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

The MSL role embodies our medical mission to be recognized as the trusted partner for internal stakeholders and the healthcare community, driving scientific exchange to enhance medical education, data generation, insight generation and patients’ access to medicine.
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for identifying disease and product related medical needs in a defined geography. The primary role of the MSL is to develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) within their healthcare system. The purpose of their interactions is to engage in meaningful scientific exchange that will ensure patients have access to BMS medicines, to ensure their safe and appropriate use through peer to peer discussions aligned with medical strategies and needs expressed by external stakeholders, and to facilitate research. The MSL also serves as the medical resource for external stakeholders in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- External Environment and Customer Focus
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders, within a given geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR related questions. The MSL will use various channels for interactions (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.)
- Demonstrate proficiency in using available scientific resources and presentations. Effectively present information to TL/HCPs and be able to respond to questions, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives.
- Actively assess the medical landscape by meeting with TL/HCPs/Access Stakeholders to understand their needs and expertise. Continuously update own knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, health economics outcomes research and scientific activities. Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models and actively prepare to address informational needs of customers
- Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research projects, and investigator sponsored research (ISR) of interest and in alignment with BMS strategic objectives
- Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings. Collect and provide meaningful medical insights and/or impact by communicating these back to the medical and commercial organizations to support strategy development and business decisions

- Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL Interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and TLs needs
- Adopt institution/account planning approach and contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans

- Provide scientific support at promotional meetings by presenting scientific and clinical data, by evaluating speakers and by giving support to BMS-contracted speakers (if applicable)
- Participate in assigned Congress activities
- Support Clinical Trial Activities
- Support Interventional and Non Interventional Research (NIR) studies (e.g. identification and assessment of potential study sites) to facilitate patient recruitment and/or discussions around the safe and effective use of BMS investigational products, as agreed with home office medical and Global Development Operations (GDO) and as defined by the study scope document
- Provide recommendations and insights to clinical development team on study and site feasibilities within the therapeutic area based on knowledge of the field and through direct contacts with potential investigators, as agreed with home office medical and GDO
- Support HCPs in the ISR submission and execution process and study follow-up as agreed upon with home office medical and GDO
- Ensure that BMS Pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators of local studies, and alert appropriate BMS personnel to any identified Adverse Events
- Actively support CRO sponsored studies as agreed with home office medical and GDO and as defined by the study scope document
Qualifications & Experience
- Required Experience
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific Disease Area or with a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience

- Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area, competitive landscape and patient treatment trends

Summary:
The BMS Innovation Law Team is seeking an intellectual property attorney to join BMS’ cell therapy research and development center in Seattle, WA.
The Senior Corporate Counsel position will support clients across multiple functional areas to build and leverage BMS’ intellectual property interests, with a focus on cell and gene therapy products and processes and biologic products for treatment of oncologic, hematologic and immunologic diseases.
Responsibilities include providing strategic counsel and leadership on all facets of intellectual property law, including procurement, enforcement, freedom to operate, and business development, as well as legal counsel to the Research & Early Development organization.
The attorney will work closely with clients in various functions in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment and will collaborate with other in-house and outside attorneys to accomplish BMS objectives. This position requires residence in/relocation to Washington State.
Qualifications:
J.D. degree or equivalent and admission to at least one State bar.
Minimum of 12 years of patent experience in the biopharmaceutical field, preferably including at least six years working in-house for an innovative biopharmaceutical company, in roles of increasing responsibility.
Registered to practice before the USPTO and eligible to practice in Washington or obtain a limited license for in-house counsel.
