The Director, Category Strategy, Total Rewards & Workforce Experience role is responsible for the development of strong business relationships while leading the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for HR categories. Areas of focus include but are not limited to: US and Global benefits, compensation, wellness programs, payroll, executive coaching, and team effectiveness. This role will engage closely and frequently with senior business partners in the HR organization to understand strategic business objectives, develop a fit-for-purpose category strategy and drive business outcomes.
This role is expected to have proven experience in Total Rewards and Workforce Experience space, while expertise & and knowledge of other HR categories is preferred, Having this background will enable the team’s ability to drive the strategic focus areas of BMS and ensure that the work within this category strategy can meet business needs.
This role is also seen as a trusted advisor to senior HR stakeholders, and as a main point of contact for HR-related procurement needs. This will require this role to have strong coordination, collaboration and partnership abilities within Enabling Services Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) and across other SS&P functional towers to ensure holistic support of the stakeholders.
This role will drive Supplier Relationship Management processes, procedures, supplier and category segmentation, metrics/KPI development and application, etc. This may include leading key Supplier governance in conjunction with senior business stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Drive strategic business partnering across the targeted HR leadership team, along with Finance, Legal, and the broader SS&P organization
Maintain a leadership role to influence business strategies, leverage emerging trends, and identify opportunity areas that deliver sustainable value. Act as strategic enabler of change, introducing new ideas and innovative solutions
Develop, maintain and implement a 1-3 year strategic plan and ensure all projects supporting the strategic plan deliver maximum value.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within HR. Continuously act as a trust advisor by proactively identifying opportunities for enhanced engagement, new supplier capabilities, and areas for further cost optimization. Stay updated on emerging trends to drive innovation and help the business stay ahead of the competition.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within these HR categories.
Partner with the business and finance to maintain visibility into stakeholder 3rd party budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
Track and report on cost savings and value delivered through procurement activities.
Execute supplier relationship management (SRM) and drive supplier performance
Oversee the rationalization and selection of suppliers that meet business requirements at the optimal total cost, with preferred supplier identification
Manage and optimize the category supply base, preferred suppliers, and track supplier performance (KPIs, SLA tracking,..)
Lead cadenced business reviews with key internal and external stakeholders to track performance and ensure alignment on business objectives
Manage escalations from the business and coordinate with suppliers on behalf of the business to develop solutions or performance improvement plans
Innovation management
Foster internal and external (supplier-led) innovation
Coordinate with other Category Strategy Partners and SS&P Market Business Partners to execute innovation plans, display supplier capabilities, and lead innovation workshops that help solve key business problems
Leverage deep knowledge of category management, supplier capabilities and the commercial lifecycle to continuously bring ideas and opportunities to business leaders and participate in relevant innovation forums
Internal/External Stakeholders:
Broader HR organization with focus on Total Rewards and Workforce Experience
SS&P LT, Enabling Services LT, and broader SS&P organization
Agile Sourcing team, Finance Partners, Supplier executive management

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education of a B.S./B.A.
Minimum of ten (10) years of business experience of which eight (8) years is multi-disciplined procurement experience, preferably with focus on HR-related categories. Minimum of 3 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience.
Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and global teams
Internal stakeholder management, data / information management, category strategy development and management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills
Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning, and integrated supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications
M.S./M.B.A.
Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
5 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience

Position Summary
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) – by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
The TAS role is field-based. A TAS is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating in a balanced manner the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
Engages with and continuously maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
Prepares and successfully implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
Proactively uses available tools such as CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and to dynamically inform call plans. Provides feedback on experience using these tools to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
Demonstrates scientific expertise and passion in using approved scientific resources and publications to present information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
- Conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discusses product-related scientific information with HCPs that is consistent with label.Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from list approved by Speakers Bureau and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
Maintains a high level of working expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
Engages real-time medical support through Medical on Call to reactively answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally with the appropriate stakeholders to enable BMS to better serve its customers.
Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of BMS.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network via a customer-centric mindset and desire to create positive and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
Experience in Oncology required.
Demonstrated strong capability in account management skill sets, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and can-do attitude.

Our QSP & PBPK team has established expertise, impact, and tools, and we are looking for a highly motivated scientist to develop and apply Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) models with a primary focus on hematology, oncology, and cell therapy applications to primarily impact clinical development. QSP models are mechanistic, mathematical models based on integration of non-clinical/clinical knowledge and data to represent varying scales of drug pharmacology from target binding and modulation through disease pathophysiology and multi-drug pharmacology. They can be applied to aid in target prioritization, therapeutic modality selection, chemical/biotherapeutic optimization, biomarker characterization, combination assessment, clinical trial design, and trial interpretation.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to and collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams to develop and apply QSP models
Partner with external groups to accelerate the internal Systems Pharmacology efforts in key disease areas
Provide expert support to project teams to design, execute and interpret clinical studies
With some supervision, network with stakeholders in other functions to facilitate model development and application
Coordinate with the QSP&PBPK methods lead on methodologies for virtual population workflows and script-based analysis packages and customize as needed
With some supervision, align QSP model deliverables with clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical, and clinical development plans as appropriate
Stay informed with emerging literature and science in the systems biology/pharmacology modeling and simulation sciences
Build and maintain a personal track record of publication in the area of QSP
Position requirements:
Ph.D. in Engineering, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacometrics, Systems Biology/Pharmacology or a related field
Following the Ph.D., 2+ years of mathematical modeling & computer simulation experience in the pharmaceutical industry for the Sr. Research Investigator level. No additional industry experience is needed for the Research Investigator level
Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or pharmaceutical consulting is desired (academic post-doctoral or faculty may be a consideration depending on the totality of prior experience)
Excellent understanding of theory, principles and statistical aspects of advanced mathematical modeling and simulation
Good understanding of the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
Ability to learn new areas of biological sciences and build on solid foundation of quantitative skills to develop QSP models
Ability to communicate internally and externally on topics related to CP&P and QSP is required
Ability to keep up to date with and propose the implementation of scientific and technological developments in the area of Systems Pharmacology/Biology
Hands-on experience with modeling software like MATLAB/SimBiology/Simulink, Entelos PhysioLab Platform, DBSolve, etc. Experience with MATLAB SimBiology would be particularly desirable
Experience with general programming and data analysis tools/languages such as MATLAB, Python, R, Spotfire, etc., is required
Desire to interact as a modeling and simulation expert across clinical development teams with experts from different functional areas (pre-clinical and clinical)
Knowledge of current practices and issues in pharmaceutical R&D in disciplines such as clinical pharmacology, bioanalytical, biopharmaceutics, and toxicology
This position will primarily support QSP applied to oncology-related indications. Knowledge of immunology especially as applied to immuno-oncology applications is a plus

Research Investigator: the starting compensation for this job is a range from $97,000 - $135,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
Sr. Research Investigator: the starting compensation for this job is a range from $121,000 - $167,2000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Position Summary
The Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization is going through an important evolution to enable more reliable and consistent delivery of medicines to patients faster. This evolution includes elements that will help elevate its current operations to be best in class and differentiate them as a competitive advantage for the future. As part of the evolution, the Strategy & Business Excellence organization is responsible for accelerating GPS with systems of excellence across disciplines related to digital, strategy, operational excellence, business development and risk management.
Reporting to the ED, GPS Business Process & Governance Excellence. The position will work closely with SBE LT Sponsors, will lead significant projects related to GPS strategic initiatives and will partner across SBE pillars, BI&A and IT.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead workstreams or initiatives that provide insight and direction for key strategic GPS initiatives.
- Independently lead the projects to completion by brainstorming with project teams, and analyze solutions to problems and develop initial hypothesis, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Direct small project and cross-functional teams of colleagues with various levels of experience, coaching and developing them to build capability and performance and help develop further the GPS talent pool.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to drive analysis of complex sets of data and business processes.
- Support creation of project communications to drive engagement of key stakeholders and adoption of recommendations and solutions.
- Establish strong partnerships and effective communication channels with GPS functions and OpUs to understand their needs and ensure solutions align with their requirements.

Position Summary
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.

Global Medical Affairs, Strategy and Operations is responsible for the global planning activities of the Hematology Medical Affairs Department, including global/regional brand and medical planning, budget planning, congress planning, workforce planning, and planning and execution of special projects. The Associate Director, Strategy and Operations is responsible for partnering with colleagues in Medical Affairs and in other functions including Commercial, both Heme and Cell Therapy to lead or support Strategic Planning responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Medical Lead to facilitate the development, execution, and strategic reviews of various Medical Affairs functions involved in the global brand, launch and Medical Affairs plans in order to develop/communicate the Medical view effectively in global medical and marketing planning (including Medical Plans and IEPs for assigned products/ensuing the Medical Plan is aligned with TA portfolio objectives/strategies).
- Maintain Medical plans, manage dependencies across functions, and provide transparency to medical leads and senior leaders (inclusive of congress planning and management for the team). Prepare comprehensive project plans and progress reports for team leads, senior management and other stakeholders, as needed.
- Track & measure performance and identify risk areas or barriers impeding successful execution. Work with teams, Medical leadership, and/or senior management to resolve
- Partner with Medical Team Lead/core team to facilitate medical matrix team meetings, ensure agendas for key meetings are focused on key deliverables, risk management, issue identification and resolution. Ensure that key actions and agreements are understood, and the team is held accountable for their commitments.
- Partner with Finance and Medical leads to facilitate the budget process including trade-off discussions and on an ongoing basis ensure the brand budgets (including facilitation of annual budget, monthly projections, accruals, variance analysis and budget planning for the coming year) are on track.
- Identify, develop and implement new processes to facilitate continued evolution of the Operations function and improve efficiency of the Medical organization.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, Commercial, Hematology and Cell Therapy Medical team members, to influence strategic alignment on key Medical objectives.
- Ensure Medical Team members are fully represented in the decision-making process and knowledge exchange is taking place.
- Ensure key communication points are captured and disseminated (dashboards, tracking scientific communications).
- Train/Onboard of new project managers, junior level support, and/or contingent workers.
Qualifications and Experience
- BS/BA required; 5+ years industry experience required (research in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academics is preferred)-science background strongly recommended.
- Advanced project management skills and relevant experience on matrix management, budget management, metrics, senior leadership communication (Commercial, R&D experience a plus).
- Ability to lead and engage in complex strategic scientific discussions to develop /summarize clear follow-up/action plans, to execute and drive performance.
- Ability to build relationships, influence and drive organizational engagement at all levels in a rapidly changing environment.

Cell Therapy Analytical Development (CTAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principle Engineer to join our Assay and Data Automation team as an analytical and data automation development oversight for external contract partners. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead in a matrix team overseeing the collaboration with the contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) on development of analytical automation platform and data integration solution for cell therapy product testing. The candidate will also work closely with internal technical and quality functions to ensure the strategy related to the development of analytical automation platform from external contract partners would meet the analytical criticality and successfully demonstrate comparability to the current analytical platform. The primary focus of this role will be to ensure the successful implementation and utilization of automated analytical platform and data integration solution in the GMP labs, while ensuring the quality, compliance, and timely delivery of analytical data and reports. This is a critical position that requires strong leadership, technical expertise in analytical and data automation, and the ability to effectively influence under fast speed environment with broad range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all automation-related analytical development activities conducted by CDMO, serving as representation of BMS technical team.
- Work closely with CDMO on development of strategies for the automation of analytical methods, data acquisition, and data analysis, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to CDMO developing and implementing automation solutions for QC testing, and ensuring adherence to established automation protocols, methods, and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve automated analytical development data and reports generated by external labs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables related to analytical automation development, proactively identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays

Qualifications & Experience

- 8+ years of experience with development and implementation of automated laboratory workflows within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, GMP environment is preferred.

BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
