Our Analytical Strategy and Operations team creates transformative medicines of tomorrow based on the cutting-edge science of today. Working within Global Product Development and Supply this team uses state-of-the art technologies to develop, enable and execute analytical and CMC strategies that ensure safety, quality and efficacy of life-saving medicines administered to patients in clinical studies. Job Title: Scientific Associate Director

Position Summary
This position will support the harmonization of microbiological testing for the Clinical Supply organization in New Brunswick, as well as the BMS network of microbiologists, in support of global Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) goals. Supported methods will include all aspects of aseptic drug product processing, including small molecules, biologics and cell therapy. The position also provides compliance information for inspection readiness at all microbiological testing locations in the BMS network. The Scientific Associate Director will also ensure appropriate strategies for DP-related manufacturing activities and will write or review microbiological sections of regulatory filings in compliance with current global expectations. This position is a combination of office based and laboratory-based work, and includes data analysis and experimental design, as well as network microbiological support for new and existing products within BMS.
Direct Reports & Indirect Reports Business Partners
This position will not have formal direct reports. Position will be supported by Assistant and Associate Research Scientists within the Microbiology Center of Excellence as indirect reports. Business partners are BMS site-based QC Microbiology Laboratories, Manufacturing Science & Technology/Process Microbiology and Manufacturing Science & Technology /Parenterals.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Functions as subject matter expert for microbiological assays and aseptic manufacturing supporting the BMS organization.
- Provide specific strategic microbiology support to alternative methods in support of company ESG goals.
- Participation in site assessments/vendor selection for CMOs/vendor with Procurement, MS&T, Quality, and other business functions. May act as SME on Quality audit team for External manufacturing sites.
- Involved in troubleshooting issues and ensures that testing performed by external contract laboratories is technically sound and in compliance with BMS corporate, regulatory, quality and compliance expectations and requirements.
- Ensures inspection readiness of the Microbiology Operations laboratory in New Brunswick and globally for QC microbiology laboratories in the network.
- Supports the investigation and implementation of new technologies and methods for microbiological assays.
- Support complex investigations involving microbiological assays or issues, including generation of CAPAs and change controls.
- Provides support for the preparation, review and approval of microbiological methods and validation sections of regulatory filings, as well as responses to regulatory agency questions regarding sterile drug products produced by aseptic processing.
- Provides dedicated support and access to expertise for customers within the Manufacturing Science & Technology Parenteral manufacturing department, by regular communication with department members.
- Participate in internal and external industry forums to understand evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Travel to other sites or educational conferences will be required (20%).
Experience & Qualifications:
- Ph.D. with 8-12 years of experience or MS with 12-15 years of experience or BS with 15+ years experience with degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Virology, or Biology/Biological Sciences.
- Advanced experience in pharmaceutical microbiology
- Advanced knowledge of regulations for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical drugs, including specific review or preparation of INDs, BLAs, NDAs, ANDAs or supplements.
- Motivated, adaptable, and results oriented professional
- Capable of mentoring junior staff
- Experience in the inspection process for US and international Heath Authorities.
- Experience in aseptic manufacturing plant(s) with regulatory interaction regarding sterilization practices and aseptic technique.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships, and work across divisions, diverse business backgrounds and cultures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Involved in pharmaceutical industry professional groups and forums
- Experience with working in a matrix environment. Experience interacting with senior leaders and being an influencer/negotiator
Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
- Direct experience in Board of Health audits for biologic or pharmaceutical production
- Direct experience with writing CMC Drug Product sections of regulatory filings
- Experience in a network role across multiple sites in a pharmaceutical company
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a cGMP compliant laboratory following techniques which require one to maintain a high attention to detail, to properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and to handle hazardous materials. Work may be required on weekdays, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions. Flexibility to work irregular hours on short notice.

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing role will maintain strong alignment to the pharmaceutical operations network strategy and initiatives. This role will work directly with manager level cross-functional stakeholders including manufacturing, material sciences, supply chain, category leads at the site and within the network to lead and execute operational procurement related activities.
This role will be responsible for developing and improving existing processes, bringing new and innovative approaches, with a focus on day-to-day and long-term goals and objectives. This business critical function will support on site manufacturing operation continuity and requires a strong ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities on a daily basis with minimal guidance. There will be a focus on solving complex issues with a broad perspective - presenting data, conclusions, and best practices in multiple forums at site and network levels.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Design, strategy, and execution of all procurement related activities for the manufacture of various products.
Work closely with internal stakeholders within Procurement, Facilities, Maintenance and Engineering departments along with other Finance/Admin functions to ensure a seamless customer service.
Implement direct material and indirect strategic category initiatives at the Phoenix site for Commercial Pharmaceutical manufacturing in alignment with category leaders. Lead Regional sub-category strategy development and execution in conjunction with relevant category lead.
Achieve and exceed metrics including value beyond savings, savings avoidance, reduction in cost and invoicing compliance.
Establish and maintain communication with global category leaders (at network sites as well as HQ); provide appropriate feedback on supplier performance aspects.
Lead Local Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program for Direct Materials, participate in supplier visits for direct materials used at the Phoenix site.
Lead Procurement activities related to existing and new supplier qualifications, readiness, assessment and execution of projects including tech transfers
Lead for supplier risk assessment (PRAM) across direct materials and work with global teams to ensure segmentation of key relationships. and support Impact Assessments related to new product launches and new suppliers.
Participate in daily site Tier 2 management forums. Communicate escalations and manage site expectations during times of material supply disruption risks.
Leverage technology to implement direct material and indirect category specific goals and objectives.
Lead Monthly PPV, and annual Pro-Forma, P1, Budget and P2 Financial requirements for the site.
Responsible for Site Procurement Training Curriculum, Procedural Reviews and Creation of new SOP’s/WI’s.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education of a completed Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) plus years of work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Planning. Experience with indirect & direct materials procurement preferred as well as one (1) year with personnel management.
Demonstrated ability to work in high pressure environment, strict attention to detail, successful negotiation, collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills
Thrives working in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively.
Demonstrated high degree of independence, requiring minimal supervision from senior management.

As part of the commercial organization, the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a trusted clinical expert responsible for developing professional relationships and educating key Health Care Professionals (HCP) involved in the care of patients receiving BMS hematology products in a defined geography.
The territory includes:
Some of the larger cities in this territory include: Sacramento, Reno, Portland and Yakama. It covers the southern portion of Washington State, all of Oregon, northeast California and northern Nevada. The territory does not include Las Vegas. Incumbents must reside within any of the areas mentioned.
- The primary role of the CNC is to drive peer to peer interactions with customers that optimize patient outcomes by delivering end-to-end clinical exchanges that clarify the complexities of patient identification and management.
- The purpose of these interactions is to deliver a continuum of clinical education and support that address the needs of HCPs starting or continuing patients on BMS hematology medicines, optimizing patient management and duration of treatment. CNCs also educate on unmet disease needs and discuss the current treatment landscape for these patient populations. CNC interactions are aligned with on-label commercial strategies and the needs expressed by customers.
- CNCs develop relationships with hematology focused Patient Support Groups for the purpose of presenting approved presentations that address specific patient education needs identified by the group leader.
- CNCs are viewed as clinical experts by their customers for the BMS hematology portfolio and are responsible for REBLOZYL (MDS), ONUREG (AML), POMALYST & REVLIMID (MM), ABECMA & BREYANZI (CAR-T). Product responsibilities may change based on franchise and business needs.
Customer Focus
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community HCPs within assigned geography to provide on-label clinical and product education for BMS hematology products. The CNC will use various channels for interactions (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.) while utilizing on-label approved marketing materials.
- Actively assess the treatment and patient management landscape by meeting with HCPs to understand their needs and current patient management processes/protocols.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using available on-label CNC resources and presentations. Effectively utilize platform skills for presenting information to HCPs and be able to respond to questions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives.
- Consistently evaluate the impact of CNC activities in an account and plan for follow-up or next steps.
- Respond and adapt quickly to support new and ongoing educational gaps or other customer needs.
- Actively monitor CNC dashboard & account data, adjusting activities and business plans to meet goals and objectives.
- Continuously seek to increase knowledge of treatment landscape, product attributes and disease states. Actively prepare to address the educational needs of customers.
Provide Clinical Expertise
- In collaboration with sales partners, deliver on-label promotional speaker programs to HCP customers in approved out of office settings.
- In collaboration with sales partners, deliver on-label promotional in-services for HCP customers.
- Provide product demonstrations and infusion support for CAR T sites starting new patients.
- Support initial and ongoing clinical/disease area and product specific training to internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Value Access & Payment).
- Participate in assigned Medical Congress activities.
- Share clinical insights and patient management experiences internally to support franchise strategy.
Commercial Planning and Execution
- Adopt account business planning approach and contribute to cross-functional business plans.
- Collaborate with peers and cross-functional partners to successfully execute Hematology franchise performance goals and metrics.
- Assist with the development of clinically meaningful CNC programs/projects in line with commercial strategies and plans.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- APP (DNP, APRN, NP, CNS) or MSN or BSN, minimum of 5 years clinical experience in a Hematology/Oncology Disease Area.
- Nurse Educator experience within the bio/pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Current active Nursing or PA licensure
- Clinical depth within Hematology and Cell Therapy including AML, Lymphoma, MDS, and Myeloma

Essential Qualifications

- For position offered in California and Washington, the starting compensation for this position is job is a range from [$150,000-$165,000), plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). Position Summary
The TAS is critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to be accountable for the appropriate adoption of BMS assigned [Dermatology] portfolio and generates demand. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deep scientific dialog.
The role builds and maintains strong professional relationships with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
The TAS role is field- based. A TAS is anticipated to spend 50% of their time in the field with external customers, depending on the geographic area.

- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
- Organizes promotional programs like lunch & learn and speaker programs.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.

Position Summary
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.

Position Summary
The District Business Manager is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the DBM is to be accountable for leading, coaching, and motivating a team of approximately 6- 10 TASs to drive the adoption of BMS assigned Cardiovascular portfolio and generate demand. The DBM is accountable for coaching of TASs on specific learning objectives (selling skills, scientific engagement, and use of digital capabilities) and for ensuring continuous improvement in the core skills of their team. The DBM also plays a leadership role in business and account planning and championing the utilization of new digital capabilities and tools such as Medical on Call and CE^3.

The DBM is aligned to accounts and covers all Cardiovascular portfolio.
The DBM reports to the Regional Business Director and works collaboratively across matrix of Commercial, Medical, Access organizations, for example Scientific Engagement Partner (SEP), and Field Access Manager (FAM) and other field roles in the new Commercialization model to appropriately address customer needs and ensure that BMS delivers on set sales targets.
The DBM role is field-based. A DBM is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field with TASs, depending on the geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
- Focused in-role coaching and developing of TASs
- Coach TASs on specific competencies and learning objectives (e.g., scientific agility, customer/commercial mindset, change agility & teamwork/enterprise mindset). DBMs will conduct selected ride-alongs with TASs for the most important HCPs as relevant, according to coaching plan.
- Ownership for TASs learning journey and accountable for ensuring continuous improvement in core skills and behavior (e.g., scientific agility, patient mindset, digital agility, analytical mindset). - Champion adoption of new capabilities (e.g., CE^3 analytics, content personalization)
- Understand and role model new capabilities and tools e.g., sharing knowledge, information, insights and experiences with new tools with the TAS team.
- Effectively coach TASs on how to appropriately leverage CE^3 insights to guide call planning and call preparation.
- Regularly convene field team to exchange experiences, collect feedback, proactively coach on change leadership, and encourage adoption of capabilities and new ways of working.
- Execute strategic planning activities (e.g., promo program planning, budget planning, tumor prioritization at HCP level)
- Engage with relevant insights to prioritize accounts and develop strategies for key accounts.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or other related industry experience.
- Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales, or equivalent experience in leading and managing high-performing teams is strongly preferred.
- Pharma experience is strongly preferred, including an understanding of reimbursement processes, access, and distribution environment.
- Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
- Proven successful track record of selecting, developing, and retaining talented individuals.
- Previous experience that has required the use of analytical skills, selling skills, development of strong business acumen, and working knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain.

Position Summary
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) – by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
The TAS role is field-based. A TAS is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating in a balanced manner the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
- Engages with and continuously maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and successfully implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Proactively uses available tools such as CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and to dynamically inform call plans. Provides feedback on experience using these tools to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and passion in using approved scientific resources and publications to present information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
- Conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discusses product-related scientific information with HCPs that is consistent with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from list approved by Speakers Bureau and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
- Maintains a high level of working expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engages real-time medical support through Medical on Call to reactively answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally with the appropriate stakeholders to enable BMS to better serve its customers.
Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of BMS.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network via a customer-centric mindset and desire to create positive and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
- Experience in cardiovascular required.
- Demonstrated strong capability in account management skill sets, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
