Position Summary
The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role involves collaborating with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance on EHS matters.
Key Responsibilities
1. EHS Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and government regulations.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of EHS programs to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
2. Risk Assessment and Management:
- Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential EHS risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
3. Training and Education:
- Design and deliver EHS training programs (together with 3rd party EHS provider) for employees and contractors.
- Ensure that all personnel are aware of and comply with EHS policies and procedures.
4. Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Lead investigations of EHS incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance events.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Use of the internal BMS SAFE- Intelex tool
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and interpret EHS regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
6. EHS Audits and Inspections:
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections of facilities and operations.
- Identify areas for improvement and track the implementation of corrective actions.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes
- Serve as a point of contact for EHS-related inquiries and provide guidance to employees and management
8. Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging EHS trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and Poland standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional certification: EHS inspectorate certificate as required by local laws and regulations
Languages, spoken, read and written: Polish, English
Conditions
This position may require occasional travel to various BMS sites.
The role may involve working in office environments

Opis stanowiska:
Specjalista ds. BHP jest odpowiedzialny za opracowywanie, wdrażanie i utrzymywanie programów ochrony środowiska, zdrowia i bezpieczeństwa w celu zapewnienia zgodności z wymogami regulacyjnymi i standardami firmy. Ta rola obejmuje współpracę z różnymi działami w celu promowania kultury bezpieczeństwa i ochrony środowiska, przeprowadzanie ocen ryzyka i udzielanie wskazówek w kwestiach BHP.
Zakres obowiązków:
1. Opracowanie i wdrożenie programu BHP:
- Opracowywanie i wdrażanie zasad, procedur i programów BHP zgodnych z lokalnymi przepisami.
- Przeprowadzanie regularnych przeglądów i aktualizacji programów BHP w celu zapewnienia ciągłej zgodności
i skuteczności.
2. Ocena i zarządzanie ryzykiem:
- Przeprowadzanie oceny ryzyka i analizy zagrożeń w celu identyfikacji potencjalnych zagrożeń BHP.
- Opracowywanie i wdrażanie strategii ograniczania ryzyka i działań korygujących.
3. Szkolenia i edukacja:
- Projektowanie i realizacja programów szkoleniowych z zakresu BHP (we współpracy z zewnętrznym dostawcą BHP) dla pracowników i kontrahentów.
- Przeprowadzanie szkoleń i kontroli dot. znajomości zasad i procedury BHP oraz ich przestrzegania.
4. Badanie incydentów i raportowanie:
- Prowadzenie postępowań w sprawie wypadków oraz zdarzeń niezgodnych z przepisami BHP.
- Przygotowywanie szczegółowych raportów i zalecanie działań korygujących w celu zapobiegania ponownemu wystąpieniu problemu.
- Wykorzystanie wewnętrznego narzędzia BMS SAFE- Intelex.
5. Zgodność z przepisami:
- Monitorowanie i interpretowanie przepisów i standardów BHP w celu zapewnienia zgodności.
- Przygotowywanie i składanie wymaganych raportów i dokumentacji regulacyjnej.
6. Audyty i inspekcje BHP:
- Przeprowadzanie regularnych audytów i kontroli BHP w obiektach i placówkach.
- Identyfikowanie obszarów wymagających poprawy i śledzenie wdrażania działań korygujących.
7. Współpraca i komunikacja:
- Ścisła współpraca z zespołami w celu wprowadzania globalnych procedur BHP.
- Pełnienie funkcji osoby kontaktowej w kwestiach związanych z BHP i udzielanie wskazówek pracownikom
i kierownictwu.
8. Ciągłe doskonalenie:
- Promowanie kultury ciągłego doskonalenia w zakresie BHP.
- Śledzenie i wprowadzanie bieżących zmian w przepisach BHP.
Wymagane kwalifikacje:
- Wykształcenie wyższe licencjackie w dziedzinie nauk o środowisku, bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy, inżynierii
lub pokrewnej. - Aktualne uprawnienia zawodowe inspektora BHP wymagane przez lokalne przepisy i regulacje.
- 3-5 lat doświadczenia na stanowiskach związanych z BHP, najlepiej w firmie farmaceutycznej
lub biotechnologicznej - Dogłębna znajomość przepisów BHP i norm obowiązujących w Polsce.
- Wysoko rozwinięte umiejętności analityczne i rozwiązywania problemów.
- Doskonałe umiejętności komunikacyjne i interpersonalne.
- Umiejętność pracy samodzielnej i w zespole.
- Bardzo dobra znajomość języka angielskiego.
Model pracy:
- Osoba na tym stanowisku może sporadycznie podróżować do różnych lokalizacji BMS.
- Praca w biurze
- Jest to praca na częśc etatu, stanowiąca 1/5 czasu pracy.
