Position Purpose

Partner with the BMS APAC Employee Relations Team to build strong relationships between HR Business Partners at all levels, HR Legal partners, the Office of Compliance and Ethics, and Security teams as well as business leaders and the key employee representatives’ leaders across Asia Pacific. Identify employee and labor relations trends, recommend solutions and partner with all levels of HR management on execution. Partner with HR leaders to drive employee relations while maintaining a neutral position and consistent approach to BMS’s policies and procedures. Minimize risk, align work to meet business needs and improve employee morale and culture. Raise awareness on ER and LR management, build manager skill sets, provide advice, and coach employees and managers. Investigate and manage complex ER cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle cases of people-related issues such as performance management, behaviors concerns, and disciplinary actions for policy violation.
• Conduct investigations, research policies/practices, create and gather documentation, make recommendations, and implement resolutions when applicable.
• Provide counsel and facilitate the prompt and effective resolution of workplace conflict to address issues for employees, managers, and leaders in a manner consistent with BMS policies, practices, and legal considerations.
• Prepare information and/or consultation materials presented to Unions, as well as negotiation meetings with Unions and relevant documentation. Coordination of all required reporting and/or audit and liaison with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate local LR process end to end in certain cases. Act as the first level interaction with employee representatives.
• Participate in the identification of employee relations trends and partner with ER Leads on identifying solutions.
• Ensure that the Company operates within current and local employment law to maintain its reputation as a good employer.
• Ensure compliance and consistency in the execution of Employee Relations issues with strong business acumen while maintaining objectivity.
• Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organization. Interact with HR Business Partners, and other HR functions, to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction & engagement.
• Maintain strict confidentiality throughout conversations and investigations. Manage highly confidential human resources information and exercise sound judgment in handling or working with confidential data and situations.
• May be required to work some off-shift hours to support cases or investigations at operations with multi-shift environments.
• Some travel may be required. Will work with remote locations frequently via Video Calls.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional certification
• 5+ years of HR or Employee Relations experience
• 3+ years of HR or Employee Relations experience with an advanced degree in law, human resources, or employee/labor relations
• Japanese/English fluency.

Ideal Candidates Would Also Have

• Experience in employment law and labor relations.
• Experience in employee relations matters, procedures and processes.
• Experience working in a global HR shared services operating model.
• Experience in project management.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Position: Senior Manager, HR Project Office – Project Manager

Location: Tampa, FL or Lawrenceville, NJ

Position Summary

A Project Manager with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient execution of projects/initiatives within our Human Resources (HR) Project Office. The position is a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more areas of HR focusing on optimizing HR processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

• Lead and manage HR projects/initiatives from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.

Subject Matter Expertise:

• Serve as a project management subject matter expert, providing guidance to project teams and across HR.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure HR compliance and effectiveness.

Change Management:

• Lead change management initiatives related to HR process improvements, ensuring seamless transitions and user adoption.

• Develop and deliver training programs to HR Project Office staff and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Foster strong working relationships with HR Project Office team members, department heads, and external partners to drive successful project outcomes.

• Act as a liaison between HR and other departments to ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.

Risk and Issue Management:

• Assist in identifying project risks and issues and escalate them to the HR Project Office Head/Portfolio Management.

• Support in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

• Monitor project risks and issues and provide status updates.

Budget Tracking:

• Assist in tracking project budgets and expenses.

• Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Assist in preparing financial reports related to project expenditures.

Quality Assurance:

• Assist in maintaining project quality standards and adherence to best practices.

• Participate in quality reviews and audits as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, project management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Working towards or have obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP), PSM/CSM – Professional/Certified Scrum Master certification or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

• 5+ years in a functional project management role in both waterfall and agile environments.

• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management software is required.

• Proficiency in HRIS (HR Information Systems) is highly preferred.

• Change management experience is highly preferred.

• Management consulting experience is highly desirable.

• Product management experience is highly desirable.
