My-IO: An immuno-oncology education platform for patients

08/09/23

For people who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families, navigating this news can be scary, uncertain and confronting.

To help Australians who are receiving immuno-oncology treatment (IO), also known as cancer immunotherapy, Bristol Myers Squibb Australia has developed a dedicated education platform called my-IO.

my-IO aims to support patients who are considering or are prescribed immuno-oncology (IO) treatment, which involves harnessing the immune system to fight cancer.

my-IO is designed to:

  • provide comprehensive information about immunotherapy, how it works and potential side effects to look out for
  • share stories and insights from others who have undergone IO treatment
  • provide information accessible to patients who are linguistically diverse, with five languages to currently choose from - English, Vietnamese, Arabic, Mandarin and Cantonese.

We’re proud to be empowering Australians undergoing immunotherapy for cancer to take a more active role in managing and understanding their treatment journey.
