My-IO: An immuno-oncology education platform for patients
For people who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families, navigating this news can be scary, uncertain and confronting.
To help Australians who are receiving immuno-oncology treatment (IO), also known as cancer immunotherapy, Bristol Myers Squibb Australia has developed a dedicated education platform called my-IO.
my-IO aims to support patients who are considering or are prescribed immuno-oncology (IO) treatment, which involves harnessing the immune system to fight cancer.
my-IO is designed to:
- provide comprehensive information about immunotherapy, how it works and potential side effects to look out for
- share stories and insights from others who have undergone IO treatment
- provide information accessible to patients who are linguistically diverse, with five languages to currently choose from - English, Vietnamese, Arabic, Mandarin and Cantonese.
We’re proud to be empowering Australians undergoing immunotherapy for cancer to take a more active role in managing and understanding their treatment journey.
