Community support and advocacy
BMS Australia supports the increasingly important role patients have in their own healthcare, as well as the critical role of the patient voice in the broader healthcare system. Bristol Myers Squibb is committed to conscientious citizenship and helping worthwhile causes. This principle is the pillar of an extensive – indeed worldwide – scope of charitable activities.
Patient advocacy and policy initiatives
Bristol Myers Squibb Australia (BMSA) is committed to working with patient communities to shape healthcare decisions and health policy that will best serve Australian patients. We are committed to working together to drive initiatives and changes that will improve our healthcare ecosystem and ultimately provide improved patient outcomes.
Since 2018 BMSA has convened the Shaping Healthcare Together roundtable with the aim of bringing together key healthcare stakeholders to explore and discuss shared issues.
In 2022, BMSA hosted the inaugural Patient and Parliament Summit in Canberra at Parliament House and since then, combined with the Shaping Healthcare Together roundtable, the event has been an important platform for elevating key issues and highlighting the importance of the patient voice in the healthcare system.
