Bristol Myers Squibb has pioneered the development of immuno-oncology. Our world-class Translational Medicine organization is exploring new aspects of tumor and immune biology to create tailored, individualized treatment strategies that will offer the greatest possible benefit to patients. We are looking for experienced translational scientists to help drive improved understanding of disease biology, mechanism of action, and predictive biomarkers in our late-stage clinical oncology portfolio. Ideal candidates will possess a strong scientific background, effective communication skills, and experience working in a matrixed industrial environment.
In the role as a Senior Principal Scientist within the Translational Medicine team, the ideal candidate is:
- Responsible for integrating translational research and clinical development, developing biomarker strategies in alignment with clinical development objectives, leading efforts for data generation and interpretation and for communication to the development teams.
- Responsible for understanding external research environment, partnering with Discovery biology and other functions both internally and externally to coordinate the execution of Translational Medicine deliverables.
- Engages functional groups to develop, champion, implement and align biomarker strategies for development projects in support of the overall R&D portfolio goals.
- Effectively engages with teams and matrix leadership to define, revise and progress translational biomarker plans.
- Continually analyzes progress, engages in critical thinking, and asserts strong problem-solving towards delivering key data and interpretations essential for decision making.
- Delivers high quality biomarker strategies for target engagement, pharmacodynamics endpoints and patient selection.
- Ensures the output of the biomarker plans meets established project standards.
- Engages team members to ensure alignment of biomarker strategies with clinical operational plans and with functional area capabilities.
- Builds productive relationships with team members that interact with the translational clinical biomarker group.
- Effectively interfaces with functional areas to ensure strategic alignment and to identify resources needed to deliver on biomarker goals.
- Communicates key biomarker program information, risks, and milestones, and manages information flow across team members.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- 10+ years of academic and / or industry experience
- Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the Life Sciences
- 6+ years of academic and / or industry experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Requires comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and / or methodologies within drug discovery or clinical development
- Has significant understanding of the role of translational research/medicine and clinical biomarkers in drug develop
- Demonstrated knowledge of oncology and/or tumor-immunology disease biology

Position Summary
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) – by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
The TAS role is field-based. A TAS is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion:
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating in a balanced manner the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
- Engages with and continuously maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and successfully implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Proactively uses available tools such as CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and to dynamically inform call plans. Provides feedback on experience using these tools to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue:
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and passion in using approved scientific resources and publications to present information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
- Conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discusses product-related scientific information with HCPs that is consistent with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from list approved by Speakers Bureau and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
- Maintains a high level of working expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engages real-time medical support through Medical on Call to reactively answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally with the appropriate stakeholders to enable BMS to better serve its customers.
Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of BMS.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network via a customer-centric mindset and desire to create positive and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
- Experience in Immunology required.
- Demonstrated strong capability in account management skill sets, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and can-do attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills proven through a track record of performance.

Position Summary
To coordinate and author complex documents needed for regulatory submissions, ensuring the coordination and integration of the scientific, medical, and regulatory input from cross-functional team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Authors complex clinical documents [eg, Investigator's Brochures (IB), Protocols, Phase 2/3 Clinical Study Reports (CSR), briefing documents, Common Technical Document (CTD) summary documents, responses to Health Authority queries] for timely submission to health authorities worldwide according to:
- good documentation principles (organization, clarity, scientific standards)
- consistency between text and tabular presentations or graphical displays
- in compliance with BMS documentation standards and worldwide regulatory requirements
- Participate in relevant document subteam(s) and ensure effective planning and management of timelines for all components of assigned documents.
- Participate in document strategy sessions, including messaging, document flow, logic, and consistency for assigned projects.
- Participate in document prototyping sessions, including document flow, logic, and consistency for assigned project prototypes, and maintain document prototypes and shells.
- Comply with internal and external processes and guidelines while managing the review process and, on an ongoing basis, resolve issues, errors, or inconsistencies with pertinent team members to ensure:
- optimal communication between authoring team and development team members
- coordination and efficient use of messages between internal development plans, IND and Marketing Authorization documentation
- timely completion and high quality of assigned documents
- Review and edit documents as required.
- Serves as a liaison for external documentation support (when required), prepares specifications for the work, and ensures maintenance of good documentation principles as well as BMS documentation standards.
- Leads and influences a diverse group of authors of regulatory documents from a variety of disciplines without a reporting relationship.
Qualifications & Experience
- PharmD/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or Master's/Bachelor's degree with approximately 5-10 years of pharmaceutical regulatory documentation. All PhD in biological sciences and PharmD candidates are considered.
- Demonstrated strong writing skills in authoring and managing the production of clinical and regulatory document including registrational submission documents (eg, briefing documents, CTD summary documents, responses, pediatric plans).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data from a broad range of scientific disciplines.
- Good understanding of global pharmaceutical drug development and requirements for documentation authoring supporting regulatory submissions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and quality of work using strong organizational, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional team.
- Working knowledge of a document management system and basic knowledge of the document publishing process.

Associate Director, Statistical Programming, provides functional expertise and leadership to clinical project teams to lead statistical programming teams and support the development, regulatory approval and market acceptance of Bristol Myers Squibb products. This position is primarily responsible for the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for integrating, analyzing and reporting clinical data. Associate Director drives the development and implementation of innovative strategies and technologies for clinical trial programming. Associate Director develop collaborative relationships and work effectively within Global Biometrics & Data Sciences (GBDS), with external vendors and members of cross-functional development teams.
Associate Director, Statistical Programming, independently leads improvement initiatives under sponsoring of Therapeutic Area Head or Statistical Programming leadership team. They proactively plan, implement, and identify issues/risks and provide remediation strategies to facilitate decision making. Managers also lead the change management process (e.g. communication, training, stakeholder engagement).
This position includes functional management responsibilities. In this role, Associate Director, Statistical Programming, is responsible for managing employees: set objectives, manage performance, and provide meaningful coaching and feedback. They also support the evaluation and recruitment of potential employees.
Project Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive programming leadership and support to complex clinical project teams and vendors, including deployment of programming strategies, standards, specifications and programmed analysis to comply with regulatory requirements, SOPs and work practices
- Drives the development and implementation of innovative strategies and technologies for clinical trial programming
- Independently develops, validates, troubleshoots, and maintains complex programs and utilities in accordance with predefined specifications and standards
- Leads the electronic submission preparation and review
- Develops unambiguous and robust programming specifications (e.g. ADaM specifications)
- Reviews planning documents (e.g., statistical analysis plan, data presentation plan, data review plan) to align with project objectives and ensures clarity and completeness of programming assumptions and requirements; Assesses document robustness and impact on programming activities
Improvement Responsibilities:
- Drives, Identifies, leads, and supports opportunities to enhance processes and technology
- Communicates proactively and effectively around issues and risks and contributes to its remediation
Managerial Responsibilities:

- Act as extended member of Statistical Programming Leadership Team in sharing and building up the line function vision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science or life sciences required
- At least 10 years programming experience in industry including support of significant regulatory filings and minimum 5 years of experience in managing technical professionals in a regulated environment
- Proficient knowledge of drug development process, clinical trial methodology, regulatory guidance, industry standards, statistical concepts, and medical terminology used in the analysis and submission of clinical data
- Broad expertise in statistical programming and in developing computing strategies
- In-depth understanding of clinical data structure (e.g. CDISC standards) and relational databases

Position Summary
This position has a primary responsibility of supervising daily operations of a high-functioning team of Cell Therapy 360 Scheduling Specialists, who are the primary point of contact for patient scheduling of autologous immunotherapy products including our customer, our couriers, and manufacturing sites. They must maintain strong relationships with other partners across the Cell Therapy Franchise to ensure best-in-class customer service is delivered to our BMS certified treatment centers across the region. This person must ensure this team is trained and supported sufficiently for maintaining strong relationships with other partners across the Cell Therapy Franchise to ensure best-in-class customer service is delivered to our internal and external partners. This position will report to Senior Manager, APAC Scheduling and Cell Logistics, and will collaborate closely with other Managers in the same function.
- Position is office-based in Tokyo with in-office attendance required a minimum of 50% of the time. Remote work must be performed at home with consistent office setup and internet access, as extensive work at computers and phones is essential to job function.
- Holiday on-call support is required as assigned.
- Overtime may occasionally be required as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations including Scheduling, Logistics arrangements, Site Communication, Urgent Escalations, Case Management and Reporting are performed appropriately by all Scheduling Specialists.
- Own all urgent escalation issues that are beyond the knowledge and ability of the Specialists and further escalate, when needed.
- Play as a primary escalation point on issues and problems. Report and escalate promptly and appropriately to Management.
- Ensure all Scheduling Specialists are sufficiently trained leveraging global training team when needed, of daily operations as well as any updates to the processes, systems and any other tools daily used to meet KPIs and metrics, and to deliver a positive end to end customer experience to our internal and external customers.
- Ensure scheduling system updates, issues and maintenance are communicated with internal and external contacts.
- Ensure appropriate processes are in place in alignment with global process where possible and proactively provide updates, feedbacks, discussions, and insights to the global management team.
- Participate in team’s daily operation meetings to ensure that daily operations are conducted, monitored, reported, and escalated promptly and appropriately.

We are seeking an individual with a track record of strong leadership, compliant execution, and a winning mindset to join the Neuroscience Sales Strategy & Operations team – Psychiatry to support the Central and West regions during the launch of KarXT. This individual will partner with the Northeast and South Region Sales Leadership Teams to pull-through business-related functions. The selected candidate will have a high level of exposure to senior sales and marketing leadership across our business unit and will be a key member of the Sales Strategy & Operations team.
This position will report into the Director, Sales Strategy & Operations and have a dotted line reporting relationship with the Central and West Region Business Directors (RBD).
Even more specifically, the successful candidate will excel at:
- Collaborating with the Northeast and South Region Sales Leadership Teams, on the development and execution of the regional business plans and the business review process
- Providing recommendations to improve regional sales performance through proactive analysis of region, district and territory performance. This includes, but is not limited to business analytics, sales messaging, strategy and tactical planning.
- Leading the planning and execution of the sales communication plan, including the Regional or National meetings, e-mail correspondence, slide deck creation and management, teleconferences, and associated compliance/legal review.
- Managing the inquiry/resolution process as needed for the sales team (e.g. triaging and following up on Clarity/ServiceNow tickets, ad hoc requests from home office and field, tracking People Services and Help Desk Tickets, etc created by the sales team).
- Contributing subject matter expertise and/or managing operational support of field-based systems (e.g. OneLook Specialty (OLS), Veeva/InterAct, customer alignments, Call Planning Process, e-Roster, HCP Connect, MS Teams, a:Coach, SharePoint, Workday, MyBMS, Survey’s, etc.).
- Tracking the allocation and utilization of resources (e.g. promotional program budgets, marketing materials, etc.) and region adherence to BMS policies and procedures.

- Assisting with the new hire on-boarding process as it relates to operational, analytical systems and business processes.

Qualifications

The Senior Director will be the clinical lead to progress multiple early clinical assets from first-in-human through proof-of-concept and will prepare the clinical development plan, design clinical trials and lead the clinical development teams. Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Media Relations and Financial Communications, the Associate Director, Strategy & Media Relations serves as a key member of BMS’s Global Media Relations and Financial Communications Team, supporting the development and updates to the enterprise's crisis communications playbook and ensuring its integration with pertinent organizational protocols. This role requires a candidate with experience in crisis communications, media relations, digital and social media, internal, and international communications.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and an exceptional strategist with strong writing skills, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. You will be at the forefront of preparing and responding to emergent situations with a nuanced approach. This includes managing sensitive situations, handling challenging media inquiries, and serving as a key advisor to critical partners and leaders across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of comprehensive crisis communication strategies and provide strategic communication advice to senior leadership during critical situations.
Help design and implement crisis response plans that address immediate and long-term challenges, align with stakeholders, and strategize with interdisciplinary teams for effective crisis resolution.
Collaborate closely with other members of the Global Media Relations and Financial Communications Team, and other key internal partners to advise company spokespersons, support crisis media training, and create compelling strategic content for various communication needs during crises.
Foster a deep understanding of diverse cultures and practices, ensuring global perspectives are integrated into crisis communication strategies and responses, enhancing the organization's ability to navigate complex, multinational scenarios effectively.
Help maintain the organization’s enterprise crisis communications playbook with a focus on scenario-based readiness and emergent agile response, as well as continuous improvement, innovation, and consistency with relevant organizational protocols.
Participate in and occasionally lead the planning and execution of crisis communication trainings and simulations, helping to ensure designated personnel are prepared and well-versed in the organization's protocols and response strategies for various crisis scenarios.
Develop media materials including pitches, talking points for interviews, etc.
Prepare background and briefing materials, plans logistics and prepares spokespeople for top-tier media opportunities.
Demonstrate strong judgment and superior media acumen when engaging with reporters.
Share best practices and maintain the crisis communications ‘center of excellence’ to drive consistency across issues and crises that arise across the enterprise.
Report on KPIs for crisis communication strategies and ensure strategic execution and alignment with organizational goals.
Closely monitor external trends and insights to advise on where and how BMS should have a voice and to continually inform media strategy development.
Stay up to date on trends, corporate issues, and news; Shares learnings and insights with the broader Corporate Affairs team, particularly those across the life sciences and other highly regulated industries.
Socialize external announcements to internal audiences to advance workforce knowledge of BMS people, products, positions and performance.
Uphold the company's commitment to integrity and obligations to our stakeholders in the course of managing reputation risk, crisis situations, and media engagements.
Key Qualifications
8+ years of experience in public relations, crisis communications, media relations, corporate communications, or a related area within the biopharmaceutical or similar industry.
Demonstrated expertise in crisis communications, including proactive and reactive situation management, coupled with excellent communication, writing and message development skills, and the ability to provide strategic counsel to leadership.
Project management skills with proven success managing major projects and deadlines.
Excellent writing and research skills, with knowledge of AP style and a keen attention to detail.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to build consensus under pressure, execute across teams and projects effectively, and understand diverse global cultures and practices.
Experience in media relations, supporting executives, and familiarity with digital channels and social media strategies.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
Excels in fast-paced, challenging environment.
High personal and professional integrity with a keen ability for innovative and analytical thinking, and experience in crisis communication planning and response.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Media Relations and Financial Communications, the Director, Financial & Governance Communications, devises strategy and leads execution of internal and external communications related to corporate finance and governance that strengthen BMS’s reputation. Responsible for strategic vision, Director, Financial & Governance Communications informs and engages employees, financial, business and investment audiences and influencers, regarding BMS’s financial strength and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and executes an integrated, multi-channel communications strategy to elevate the company’s financial profile and inform and engage critical stakeholders in the investor and broader business community about BMS’s mission, vision, values, industry leadership and market performance.
Work closely with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications colleagues to manage key communications aspects of the quarterly results cycle, including preparing and supporting the development of appropriate news releases for distribution across channels, developing executive-level briefing documents containing key messages and Q&As, and coordinating other plans and resources to drive alignment across Bristol Myers Squibb.
Partner with the Corporate Secretary’s office on delivering the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting and prepare senior executives with key messaging.
Maintain detailed and up-to-the moment knowledge and understanding of company’s finance and investment strategies, and awareness of the broader Corporate Communications team’s plans and objectives.
Identifies, develops, and supports unique storylines, content and thought-leadership opportunities relative to BMS’s financial and business achievements that advance the company’s growth and innovation narratives.
Builds and maintains relationships with key members of financial media and provide support for top-tier media engagements.
Develops communications strategies and materials for quarterly earnings, financial announcements and key investor events, including analyst conferences and investor days.
Develops communications strategies and materials for critical governance announcements and reporting, including BMS annual reports and annual shareholders’ meetings.
Develops and fosters collaborative relationships across corporate, commercial, R&D, and financial (including Investor Relations) teams to ensure strategic alignment and drive effective, cohesive and complementary communications in support of broader BMS company objectives.
Stays abreast of trends and best practices in capital markets and new developments in financial and governance communications across the life sciences industry.
Utilizes business intelligence and analytics to make data-driven decisions to inform communications strategies and boost stakeholder audience engagement.
Supports issues management preparedness, strategy, and response for financial issues, including providing input on response approach and company statements.
Manages the Associate Director, Financial & Governance Communications, agency partners, and corresponding budgets to support financial and governance communications efforts.
Key Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate and/or financial communications or investor relations at a large organization, global agency, or publicly traded company, or a combination of education and professional experience that would provide an equivalent career foundation.
Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industries.
Experience working with Investor Relations or other financial communications in a highly regulated environment.
Strong understanding of capital markets, financial reporting regulations and requirements, and corporate governance processes. Proficiency in investor relations matters, including disclosures, earnings and guidance, governance, investor identification, targeting and relationship-building.
Existing relationships with top-tier business and financial media and ability to effectively counsel and staff senior leaders for media interviews and other engagements.
Exceptional collaborative and team-building skills; Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and counterparts at all levels of the company, both within the Corporate Affairs team and across the larger matrix.
Superior written, verbal, editing, and interpersonal communications skills, including hands-on experience writing financially oriented news releases and educational materials.
Strong research and analytical skills; keen attention to detail.
Ability to learn the business quickly and excel in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
