Clinical trials are powerful tools for innovation. Clinical trials can evaluate new treatment approaches to discover how people respond to them and what side effects could occur as a result. In doing this, they can answer key research questions needed to develop and deliver new medicines to patients.
With more than 100 clinical trials ongoing in Australia, our BMS Clinical Trials portal is a starting point for any patients, as well as their healthcare professionals and carers, considering taking part in a BMS clinical trial.
The portal is developed to:
- give patients, their caregivers and physicians a place to learn more about clinical trials and how they work
- provide information on current trials being conducted by BMS Australia including the conditions being investigated
- offer a pre-screen to help identify which clinical trials a patient may qualify for
- discover stories from people who have participated in clinical trials.
Clinical trials and research are a critical part of bringing new medicines to patients. Through the data generated from clinical trials, we answer important scientific questions and gain a better understanding about the efficacy and safety of these medicines and their potential as treatment options for patients.
