Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy

Cathi Ahearn leads Enterprise Strategy for Bristol Myers Squibb where she plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategies that will propel the company towards sustainable, long-term growth and innovation. Her responsibilities encompass corporate strategy, end-to-end portfolio strategy and health, and enterprise governance.

“Our team is at the forefront of crafting and implementing BMS’ strategic roadmap in a rapidly evolving landscape,” says Cathi. “By breaking down cross-functional silos and aligning around a shared vision, we can expand the frontiers of scientific innovation and make a transformative impact for patients facing serious diseases.”

Cathi joined BMS in 2021 to lead Worldwide Commercial Portfolio Strategy where she was responsible for commercial development and launch preparation of pipeline assets and global marketing of in-line brands. She also established strategic portfolio management capabilities for the organization, which remains in the remit of her current role.

Cathi spent more than two decades in roles of increasing responsibility and scope at Roche and Genentech, including cross-functional lifecycle and franchise team leadership and a broad range of U.S. sales, marketing and strategic roles after starting her pharmaceutical career at Schering-Plough. Cathi’s passion for high quality, progressive patient care is reflected in her role on the Board of Trustees at Capital Healthcare, Inc., a leading regional healthcare system.

Cathi holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke.
