Position Responsibilities

  • Medical Plan Design and Execution: Develop and implement the medical plan in collaboration with local partners, ensuring alignment with BMS policies and procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with local representatives, marketing, access, PSP, and commercial teams to support Brand Strategy development by sharing medical insights and knowledge of products, disease areas, patient needs, and treatment trends.
  • External Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders to address scientific and HEOR questions using diverse interaction channels.
  • Medical Support: Provide strategic input into the Launch Readiness Plan, support medical plan execution, and offer expertise to internal teams across the matrix.
  • Medical Landscape Profiling: Continuously update knowledge on products, patient trends, unmet needs, clinical trials, and the competitive landscape.
  • Speaker Identification and Training: Identify and train speakers for BMS educational initiatives.
  • Content Development: Contribute to creating and reviewing promotional/non-promotional materials, reimbursement files, and scientific publications.
  • Clinical Trial Support: Facilitate study feasibility, site selection, recruitment, and investigator support while ensuring adherence to safety and compliance protocols.
  • Compliance and Pharmacovigilance: Ensure all activities align with BMS policies, ethical guidelines, and pharmacovigilance requirements.

Degree Requirements

  • Degree in a health-related field
  • Extensive experience in Oncology is essential.
  • A Medical Doctor (physician) background is desirable.

Experience Requirements

• Working in a scientific and/or clinical research environment

• Translating scientific or clinical data into compelling messages to help physicians best serve their patients

• Effectively communicating and presenting scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals

• Developing peer-to-peer relationships with top-ranking medics, scientists or other healthcare professionals

• Training others

• Quickly and comprehensively learning about new subject areas and environments

Key Competency Requirements

• Superior disease Area knowledge and understanding scientific publications

• In-depth knowledge of a scientific or clinical area

• In-depth knowledge of relevant BMS products highly desirable.

• Knowledge of clinical trial design and process

• Knowledge of the National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry

• Excellent English language skills, spoken and written

• Knowledge of HEOR data and the ability to communicate value data

Travel Required (nature and frequency).

• Travel 50% required

On-site Protocol

BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
