Position Summary

The Enterprise Learning Organization is helping BMS build an enterprise workforce that is capable of accelerating future growth. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Manager – Demand Management to join our team.  The Senior Manager, Op Ex, Demand Management, HR Enterprise Learning, has primary responsibility for ensuring the efficient use of the Enterprise Learning budget including monitoring, forecasting, and analyzing all spend across multiple teams, identifying areas of investment opportunity, and working closely with Finance. The role leads budget execution on behalf of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Enterprise Learning spend to ensure we are accurately tracking against budget and identify areas of opportunity. This requires an understanding of Enterprise Learning initiatives and how funds are invested.

  • Lead meetings with stakeholders individually and in teams to set budget priorities and direct budget execution. This includes reviewing the budget and current spend and providing feedback, addressing areas out of budget, and identification of positive and negative trends. Influences stakeholders to take actions needed to meet budget goals while maintaining positive relationships.

  • Synthesize financial data from multiple sources (SAP, Ariba, RPM, Excel, and SharePoint) into slide decks and monthly scorecards for senior management – for Executive Dashboards & Portfolio reporting.

  • Assists with project and demand management to measure, report and manage demand across channels for Enterprise Learning in order to drive resource allocation and identify capacity concerns.

  • Contribute to the optimization of learning vendor spend and identify cost-efficiencies where possible.

  • Directs contract (MSA, SOW) and order (PO, SO) processing in a timely fashion to keep the business moving, and successfully prioritizes the most critical items on a rolling basis.

  • Structures the budget in an organized and compliant fashion; creates RPM WBS codes and fund transfers;

  • Lead and execute annual budget planning, P1-P2-P3 quarterly projections in compliance with local market deadlines.

  • Collaborate with Finance to co-manage the P&L; ensure the Finance team implements necessary budget changes according to the business priorities.

  • Stay updated with innovative practices, industry/technology trends, and opportunities in the strategic advancement of Enterprise Learning for BMS.

  • Contribute to strategies to enhance and embed the culture of integrity within the organization.

  • Build and maintain relationships with learning stakeholders, partners, and industry experts.

  • Support functional teams and cross-functional stakeholders to promote learning transformation strategy and objectives in alignment with the BMS vision, mission, and value.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

  • 4 – 6 years of experience with complex or HR budget management

  • Strong hands-on expertise with SAP, Compass, and RPM; Basic SharePoint knowledge; Ariba knowledge is a plus

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the BMS business, products, and culture.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional working teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with multiple senior internal stakeholders and to facilitate/coordinate highly visible and time-sensitive enterprise strategy projects.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence and drive organizational engagement across functions and sites.
