Position: Franchise Lead

Location: Guaynabo, PR

Position Summary

This position is the CEO of a product portfolio, who integrates across functions/ customer types to deliver on Brand objectives with an enterprise mindset. Leads a cross-functional team across Commercial, Access, Medical, and enabling functions, and is responsible for establishing compliant, shared set of brand objectives.

Supervises and evaluates activities of assigned sales force to assure compliance with assigned sales and physician-calls objectives. Assures the implementation of the Sales/Marketing plan of action for the assigned products as well as the adequate coverage of targeted customers. Maintains adequate controls of the assigned sales force expense reports. Develops self and direct reports to prepare for future roles to support business needs. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Directs holistic brand strategy & imperatives across all stakeholders; provides tactical oversight for brand team members.
  • Leads a cross-functional team across Commercial, Access, Medical, and enabling functions, and is responsible for establishing compliant, shared set of brand objectives
  • Owns the E2E HCP and Patient journey from omnichannel strategy to execution.
  • Harmonizes insights from advanced analytics models and market research to create tailored omnichannel strategies.
  • Aligns with Access and Medical teams to translate insights into Brand strategic imperatives.
  • Establish success for the HCP and Patient customer segment.
  • Determine omnichannel capabilities and rapid, personalized content creation process to enhance customer experience and engagement.
  • Accountable for fully loaded P&L and owns decision on how the budget is used for cross-functional team resourcing/capabilities (within the archetyping framework), (e.g., functional mix and capability needs, FTE v. non-FTE budget)
  • Drives dynamic resource allocation (i.e., ability to make a business case to adjust budget) to meet brand / DA objectives over time.
  • Provides input to BI&A teams on development of advanced analytics and uses them to inform/ refine brand strategies and understand brand performance. 
  • Actively participates in cross-functional calibration sessions and provides input (on objectives and compliant performance feedback) to functional managers for performance reviews of Medical Lead (& associated teams), Access Strategy Lead (& associated teams) and OCS
  • Develops, communicates, executes, and monitors the business plan understands and explains BMS strategies, translates national plans for districts and territories, sets goals and expectations of performance, sets priorities that are clearly aligned to the regional company strategy and integrated throughout MATRIX team and consistent with applicable laws and regulations and BMS policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced Degree preferred (MS, PhD, or MBA)
  • Highly desirable previous experience and knowledge in Psychiatry
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience, with commercial experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of people management experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing a portfolio of brands in different points of their life cycle (launch, grow, mature)
  • Experience launching more than 3 new products or new indications.
  • Leadership and commercial experience in Puerto Rico markets strongly desired.
  • Success in effectively communicating and influencing decisions with senior management.
  • Ability to "flex" across different types of cultures, work, complexities, business situations and proven ability to work with matrix partners.
  • Understanding of regulatory policies and impact of public relations (Market or region preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully and effectively collaborate and work across boundaries (e.g. disease mgt., marketing, external development) and building strong external relationships.
  • Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to champion new ways of thinking and working.
  • Fully bilingual, English, and Spanish
  • Significant expertise on range of customer journeys (HCP, Patient, Payor)
  • Able to deliver against commercial and broader performance objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in P&L/ budget management.
  • Fluency in analytical models (e.g., journey decisioning engine) and ability to translate analytics from BI&A teams into actionable strategies.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel strategy and modular content production.
