World Cancer Day

Every year on World Cancer Day we reflect on all the progress made in recent years and think about what more we can do for people who suffer from cancer.

Bristol Myers Squibb is proud to join the fight against cancer by raising awareness, and thinking about the breakthrough treatments of tomorrow that will help even more patients. As pioneers who made the first immunotherapy accessible, we believe in the power of science to develop innovative medicines that have the potential to transform patients' lives.

About World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day held every 4 February is the global uniting initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalysing personal, collective and government action, we are all working together to reimagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equitable for all - no matter who you are or where you live.

1 ticket for life

Each year, hundreds of activities and events take place around the world, acting as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in reducing the global impact of cancer.

In Belgium, this year, the Foundation against Cancer has joined forces with the Belgian cinema federation. Each seat purchased in a Belgian cinema on February 4 will see part of its proceeds donated to the fight against cancer.

Country 2 Country 4 Cancer

Every year, Bristol Myers Squibb employees around the world come together and express their unwavering commitment to cancer research. Around the world, they participate in the Country 2 Country 4 Cancer rides.

In 2022, 6 BMS employees from Belgium and the Netherlands rode their bike through France and Belgium to rise money for the Foundation against Cancer in Belgium and the charity Stichting Merels Wereld in the Netherlands.
