Michael R. McMullen
Former President and CEO, Agilent Technologies, Inc.
Mr. McMullen, age 63, served as the president and chief executive officer of Agilent Technologies, Inc., from 2015 to 2024. He brings to the Board more than two decades of executive and leadership experience.
As CEO, he led Agilent’s transformation into a market-leading life sciences and diagnostics company, nearly tripling its market capitalization and driving a transformation that led to significant improvements in growth and improved profitability.
Before becoming CEO, Mr. McMullen was Agilent’s chief operating officer from 2014 to 2015 and the president of Agilent’s Chemical Analysis Group from 2009 to 2014. From 2001 to 2014, he held several roles of increasing responsibility at Agilent, including vice president and general manager of the Chemical Analysis Solutions Unit within the Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis Group, and country manager for Agilent’s China, Japan and Korea Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis Group. Mr. McMullen began his career as a financial analyst for Hewlett-Packard Co., Agilent’s predecessor.
Mr. McMullen currently sits on the Board of Directors of KLA Corporation and previously served on the Boards of both Agilent and Coherent, Inc.
He earned his MBA with honors from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and holds an undergraduate degree in finance and economics from the University of Delaware.
