UNGC communication on progress

Bristol Myers Squibb UN Global Compact Communication on Progress 2024

Bristol Myers Squibb is a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, which is the world’s largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative.

To our stakeholders:

Since 1887, BMS has enabled positive change for patients around the world. Our obligation to advance this legacy is profound and is reaffirmed by our ongoing commitment to upholding the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

These principles are deeply aligned with our company’s own values and commitments, which emphasize integrity, ethics, human rights, transparency, diversity and sustainability across economic, social and environmental dimensions.

Our dedication to these high standards is not just a statement of intent; it is embedded into our strategy, culture and daily operations. This commitment is reflected in the collaborative projects we undertake to advance the broader objectives of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing our role as a responsible global citizen.

We support public accountability and transparency and are pleased to submit our twelfth annual Communication on Progress Report. In line with the Global Compact Communication on Engagement policy, we will report again next year on the strides made towards these critical principles.

Sincerely,

Chris Boerner, PhD
Chief Executive Officer
